The people ready for a game that kind of looks like Splatoon 2 if you close your eyes and tilt your head can start preparing now, as it's now possible to pre-load Ninjala ahead of its upcoming beta period at the end of April.

Ninjala is an upcoming free-to-play title for Nintendo Switch that bears a striking resemblance to the Splatoon series. The game involves ninja kids fighting each other in colorful environments using bubble gum-themed weapons. Ninjala was revealed during the recent Nintendo Direct in March, and there have been several Developer Diary videos released since then.

Ninjala's open beta kicks off on April 28 and April 29, which will give players their first taste of the game. It's possible to pre-load Ninjala on Nintendo Switch now ahead of the launch of the beta. The player will need at least 1.3GB of free space on their Switch in order to download the beta. The full name of the program on the eShop is Ninjala Exclusive Ninja Club, though searching for Ninjala on its own should bring it up.
