American esports organization Dignitas has confirmed their return to male CS:GO, revealing a roster primarily made up of former Ninjas in Pyjamas players. The Major-winning NiP roster has now reunited under the Dignitas name, with four members actively competing while Robin “Fifflaren” Johansson takes up the coaching role. After announcing Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg's release from the organization, Ninjas in Pyjamas revealed 22-year-old Tim “nawwk” Jonasson would take his place on their active roster.

Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg has represented Ninjas in Pyjamas since 2012, originally joining as part of the organization’s first-ever Global Offensive team. He played alongside Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund, Robin “Fifflaren” Johansson, Adam “Friberg” Friberg, and Richard “Xizt” Landström for the first few years of CS:GO. The team quickly became the most dominant force in the game, setting a yet-to-be-beaten record of 87 LAN map wins in a row. The core four made five consecutive Major Grand Finals, winning ESL One Cologne 2014 over domestic rivals Fnatic.

F0rest won 23 LAN tournaments under the NiP banner, including ESL One Cologne 2014, DreamHack Masters Malmö 2016, and both IEM Oakland 2016 and 2017. He was named the second best player of 2013, behind teammate GeT_RiGhT. He was ranked 7th, 16th, and 7th in the following three years.

Fifflaren left NiP in 2014, followed by Friberg in 2017 and Xizt in 2018. GeT_RiGhT and f0rest remained on the team the longest, with the former being released in September of 2019. F0rest now ends his tenure with NiP, reuniting with GeT_RiGhT, Friberg, and Xizt on the active Dignitas CS:GO roster. The lineup is completed by 19-year-old Norwegian talent Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli, while Fifflaren joins as the team’s head coach and general manager.

Dignitas has sponsored a number of professional Counter-Strike teams, having signed their first roster in 2014. The organization housed fully Danish lineups until signing a mixed European team in 2017, and later picking up North American rosters in 2018. Dignitas released their previous team in August of 2018, and has not fielded another male CS:GO team until now.

Taking f0rest’s place on Ninjas in Pyjamas is former GamerLegion member Tim “nawwk” Jonasson. The 22-year-old has made a name for himself in recent years, becoming one of the hottest up-and-coming prospects from the Swedish scene. Nawwk joined GamerLegion in March of 2019, winning LOOT.BET Season 2, placing second at Moche XL Esports 2019 and 3-4th at WePlay! Forge of Masters Season 2 before leaving the team for NiP.

Nawwk will make his NiP debut at the end of January, in Group A of the BLAST Premier Spring Series. Dignitas are not currently scheduled to compete at any upcoming events.
