Kirby is quite possibly one of the strongest video game characters ever made. Kirby can completely deflate himself, easily fly, inhale just about anything, and take on the powers of his victims. This makes it pretty hard to fight Kirby as he can easily consume his opponents with little to no effort. In the Kirby series, he is even shown going up against a huge variety of enemies, that he mostly beats with ease. In fact, many fans speculate that it may be near impossible to beat Kirby thanks to the sucking ability that he possesses. Below are five heroes who can't beat Kirby and five that may be able to pull it off.
10 Can: Link
Link is a skilled swordsman in Zelda, but that won't do him any good against Kirby. Anyone who ends up close to the pink ball of doom will end up getting sucked into his mouth. Link needs to be close to his opponent to deal any serious damage, and Kirby could probably dodge his arrows pretty easily.
Link just wouldn't be able to land a good enough hit on him.
9 Can't: Dovahkiin
Dovahkiins' ability to shout in Skyrim can actually help him outdo Kirby. It has been shown that the Dragonborn can push his enemies back with the classic Fus Ro Dah move and freeze time using Tiid Klo Ul. By simply freezing time, Dovahkiin could quickly overwhelm poor Kirby in no time.
This is one of the few opponents that wouldn't have much of an issue taking down Kirby,
8 Can: Geralt
Geralt of Rivia resides in The Witcher games and fights plenty of monsters. He hasn't exactly come across anything close to Kirby, though, and that would probably overwhelm him. Geralt, like many Witchers, needs to get somewhat close to his opponents in order to win.
Getting close to Kirby is a sure way to lose, though.
7 Can't: Bayonetta
Bayonetta is a powerful witch that even has the ability to slow time. By slowing time as soon as the battle starts, she could easily maneuver around Kirby and then use a gun to deal the final blow to the unsuspecting pink alien.
Bayonetta could likely even use her magic to try and take Kirby on without using her time control abilities.
6 Can: Dante
Dante is incredibly powerful and wouldn't go down against Kirby easily. In fact, it's highly likely that Dante may even be able to injure Kirby before becoming his next meal. The problem is Dante, like many other characters, is most powerful when he gets up close and personal.
Even the Devil Trigger wouldn't help much against Kirby's sucking ability.
5 Can't: Tracer
Tracer has a very unique ability that would help her easily overcome Kirby. Tracer is able to blink around the battlefield and could even rewind time if she gets to close to Kirby. This would give her all the openings she needed to learn how to take Kirby down.
Tracer would easily be able to avoid becoming a midnight snack.
4 Can: Sonic
Sonic is fast, but that probably wouldn't help him with Kirby. The warp star is known for going incredibly fast, and Kirby could use it to catch up to the blue blur. Sonic could run all he wanted, but sooner or later, Kirby would be able to catch up for him, forcing a head-on battle.
Sonic fights by jumping or crashing into his opponents at high speed, forcing him to confront Kirby head-on.
3 Can't: Ciri
While Geralt may not win against Kirby, Ciri may actually be able to pull it off. Ciri can at will travel through space and time to catch Kirby off guard; she has also been shown to wield some magical powers along with the skills of a fully trained Witcher, which would aid her in a sneak attack.
Ciri could make quick work of Kirby or even end up tapping him in a different dimension.
2 Can: Kratos
Kratos is powerful, but not beat Kirby powerful. Kratos is a great fighter when he can get up close and personal, and if he could actually hit Kirby, he would likely win the fight with ease. The problem is actually being able to hit Kirby with one of his attacks.
Kratos would have a difficult time winning this battle unless he through Kirby off-guard.
1 Can't: Cal Kestis
Luckily, Jedi don't just have to use lightsabers in a fight; they also have the power of The Force. Cal is one of the last few Jedi, and as seen multiple times in the Star Wars franchise, the force can be a deadly tool used to mercilessly take opponents down without ever getting too close.
Cal could easily use his abilities to crush Kirby so that he wouldn't be consumed in battle.
