Reggie Fils-Aimé has given up the boardroom in order to return to the classroom. The former Regginator has announced that he has taken up a teaching position at Cornell University.

Reggie announced earlier this year that he would be standing down from his position as president of Nintendo of America, which marked the beginning of his retirement. Reggie officially stepped down on April 15 and was replaced by Doug Bowser. The exploit's of Reggie's post-Nintendo life has been chronicled with his new Twiter account, which has included his views on the recent attempts to link gun violence to video games and his appreciation for a reference to the "My Body Is Ready" quote in Gears 5

It seems that Reggie isn't quite ready to spend the rest of his life hanging out on beaches just yet, as he has announced on Twitter that he has accepted a Leader in Residence position at Cornell University, which is also Reggie's alma mater.

Reggie will now be hosting lectures and mentoring students throughout the 2019 academic year. The students Reggie will be teaching will be those in the Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management, which has one of the strictest acceptance requirements at Cornell.

Reggie's experience in the business world is not just limited to his tenure at Nintendo; he also held management roles at other companies, such as Pizza Hut, Procter & Gamble, and VH1. Reggie is best known for his time as the face of Nintendo of America's management during the pivot into the successful Nintendo DS/Wii years. However, he has a long history of being successful in other businesses outside of the world of video games and has more to offer as a teacher than just advice about catchphrases.

Reggie will be holding his first lecture on October 21, which will be titled "Reggie’s Principles for Next Generation Leaders." There, Reggie will teach students the leadership skills that he acquired over his thirty-five years in business. The second lecture will likely explain how to make sure Mother 3 is never localized.
