The new Nintendo Switch OLED is not the Switch Pro that most of us were expecting, but it is at least a significant upgrade over the original. It has a new 7-inch OLED screen (up from the 6.2 inches on the original Switch), an adjustable stand, better audio, and a LAN port.

And along with the Switch OLED's announcement came brand new footage of the upcoming Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl games.

The trailer starts with the same Metroid Dread footage we saw at E3, but at around 50 seconds in, a dude throws down his keys, whips out his Switch OLED, and catches a wild Buizel.

That's it. That's all we get. And part of that footage is very similar to the announcement trailer from back in February, so it's not even 100% new gameplay footage.

Nintendo seems to be playing its cards close to its chest when it comes to Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, expecting us to remember the original games and extrapolate from there. We know that Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl will have a new 3D chibi art style in the game's overworld sections, but battling will look more like recent Pokemon games like Sword & Shield.

Just as with the original Diamond & Pearl, each game will have its own unique cast of Pokemon and you’ll need to trade for the rest. Pre-orders went live on June 1, with an expected launch date of November 19.

Meanwhile, the Switch OLED will arrive just in time for Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl on October 8. You’ll have to shell out $349.99 for that bigger OLED screen.
