It’s been long rumored at this point, but during today’s Nintendo Direct, we received confirmation that select Nintendo 64 games will be making their way to Nintendo Switch Online. These titles include:

  • Super Mario 64
  • Mario Kart 64
  • Starfox 64
  • Yoshi’s Story
  • The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
  • WinBack: Covert Operations
  • Mario Tennis
  • Dr. Mario 64
  • Sin and Punishment

In addition, some games from the Sega Genesis catalog will also be hitting Switch Online. These include:

  • Castlevania: Bloodlines
  • Contra: Hard Corps
  • Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine
  • Ecco The Dolphin
  • Golden Axe
  • Gunstar Heroes
  • Musha
  • Phantasy Star 4
  • Ristar
  • Shining Force
  • Shinobi 3: Return on the Ninja Master
  • Sonic the Hedgehog 2
  • Streets of Rage 2
  • Strider

The N64 and Sega Genesis games will be available via a new Switch Online expansion pass, which current subscribers will be able to upgrade to in order to access the content. For the N64 games that feature multiplayer, up to four players will be able to play online. More games will be added to the collections as well.

The Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack plan will be available in late October, with an exact date and price to be revealed at a later date.

Finally, Switch-compatible (and wireless) N64 and Sega Genesis controllers will be released, and will be available for $49.99 each, allowing you to play the games as they were originally intended to be played.
