Super Smash Bros. Ultimate just released update 4.0 which not only gives players the chance to earn prizes but also features a new addition to the character lineup plus some fixes.

Nintendo Switch Online members can download the Spirit Board Challenge Pack 1 from the Nintendo eShop. The pack contains a variety of items that can be used in the game's Spirit Board mode. This challenge pack is exclusive and can’t be downloaded during a free trial meaning those interested need an active membership. According to GameSpot, the perks include over 1,000 Spirit Points, 10 All Primaries, 10 Shuffle All, 10 All Primaries and 10 All Supports. All of these reshuffles the board depending on which option is chosen.

All that’s needed to do to download the challenge pack is select eShop from Smash Ultimate's main menu and it will be with the game's other downloadable content.

Some of the changes made to the game include the new Online Tourney mode and a Support function that can predict the winner of a Spectate battle. The ability to earn points that can be traded for in-game items and gold has been added as well. Videos can now be played repeatedly in Shared Content. These features also require a membership. In addition, Hero from Dragon Quest has been added to the roster as part of the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s Fighter Pass, which is available for $5.99 right now. Some existing characters have been balanced for gameplay. Many of the changes have been concentrated on Ridley, Isabelle, Ivysaur, Charizard, and Pit to name a few.

Nintendo Switch Online is currently available in monthly, tri-monthly and year-long plans. There’s also a family membership available. With it, members can play online or get access offers like the challenge mentioned above.
