Nintendo Switch Sports has announced its Golf minigame will arrive later this holiday season.

Originally set to arrive in the fall of 2022, Shigeru Miyamoto himself came out during today's Nintendo Direct to declare Switch Sports Golf won't be here until slightly later this year than most fans had hoped.

There weren't too many details disclosed with Golf, but the few snippets of gameplay certainly made it appear similar to the previous iteration of the game mode in Wii Sports.

The Gold update is scheduled to arrive this holiday season with 21 holes from the original Wii Sports included. Players will be able to play in local multiplayer or up to eight players at a time in a new online game mode called "survival golf." Few details were provided, but judging by the name, players might be ejected from the course for having too high a score, or they might just have to watch out for each other's balls.

Elsewhere in today's presentation, Nintendo revealed a classic game that will return to the Switch. GoldenEye 007 is coming to Nintendo Switch Online and Xbox Game Pass with support for up to 4K graphics. Expect Bond to return on both Nintendo and Xbox consoles "soon."
