Sometimes you want a game that makes you feel powerful. While many genres allow us to embody capable protagonists able to overcome any scenario, none make their players as unstoppable as Dynasty Warriors. Known for its high-speed combat, Dynasty Warriors is a franchise developed by Koei Tecmo and has become a staple of the hack-n'-slash genre.

This reach stretches so far that Koei Tecmo has been allowed to develop Warriors titles for franchises such as The Legend of Zelda and Fire Emblem. Games like Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity bring the signature Koei Tecmo action to the combat of The Legend of Zelda. With the success of these games, what other Nintendo series could make the genre jump?

8 Kid Icarus: Prepare For Land Battle Pit!

Kid Icarus Uprising: Pit Posing With His Orbitars

It's quite the comeback story for the Kid Icarus franchise. Beginning its life as an NES title alongside The Legend of Zelda and Metroid, the series went away for a few years until its triumphant return on the 3DS in Kid Icarus: Uprising. With its large variety of characters and various Greece-inspired locations to explore, the Kid Icarus franchise is perfect for the Warriors genre.

The games already follow Pit as he does battle with large armies with various weapons. A possible Warriors spin-off would allow fans of this world to take control of not only Pit but the gods themselves. Taking control of Palutena's powers or Viridi's nature magic to decimate the underworld army sounds quite exciting.

7 Xenoblade Chronicles: Fighting To Live, Living To Fight

Xenoblade Chronicles: Shulk And His Friends On The Gaur Plains

The journey Xenoblade Chronicles has made over the years is impressive, going from a niche JRPG to one of Nintendo's well-known series. With the success of Xenoblade Chronicles since its release on the Nintendo Wii, perhaps now is the time to dip the series into possible spin-offs.

The wide variety of characters and their unique arts and weapons would create an extremely diverse roster to explore. Though similar to Fire Emblem, the "war-torn" setting of the world would make it the perfect fit for this genre. Continuing what began with Xenoblade Chronicles 2's DLC, this title could also serve as a crossover between the worlds of all four Xenoblade games, allowing for some heartwarming interactions between the many characters.

6 Pokemon: I Choose You!

Pokemon Scarlet And Violet: The Trainers Standing In Front Of The Academy

If any franchise has dipped its toes into spin-offs, it is Pokemon. With a collection of different genres under its belt, the Pokemon world seems ready to tackle a Warriors-style game. If Pokken Tournament is anything to go by, the diversity among these creatures would create a rich roster with plenty of experimentation.

This goes for the enemy units as well, with plenty of Pokemon for you to take down. Customization could be a large component of this title as you change your Pokemon's special moves to suit the boss of the battlefield. Taking cues from Pokemon Unite, Legendary Pokemon could serve the role of these boss encounters.

5 Kirby: Warriors Of Planet Popstar

Kirby's Return To Dream Land Deluxe: Kirby, Meta Knight, King Dedede, Bandana Waddle Dee, And Magolor Jumping In The Air

The Kirby series is home to a beloved cast of memorable characters that would make for an engaging time in a Warriors title. Kirby himself would transfer incredibly well to this genre, given his copy abilities. These could allow him to change his entire move set mid-mission to counter whatever enemy was presented to him.

Among these copy-abilities could be one that was made specifically for this game. Similar to games such as Kirby Star Allies, classic friends and enemies would join the fight to offer unique experiences that Kirby himself couldn't.

4 The Wonderful 101: Unite For Battle

the Wonderful 101: The Wonders Grouped Together

Anybody who owns a Wii U may have a flashback to this one-off title developed by Platinum games. A game centering around a team of color-coded superheroes who battle against evil aliens with their specific weapons, this setup could naturally make the jump over to Warriors-style combat. Each Wonder hero uses a unique weapon to do battle.

From swords to whips to bombs and fists, you'd be bound to find a character who matches your specific play style. The large-scale cities the Wonders defend would be an ideal map to travel along as you destroy some aliens.

3 Metroid: Target Acquired

Metroid Dread: Samus Sliding Past The E.M.M.I

What better character for a Warriors game than the one-woman army herself, Samus Aran? Samus has faced several horrors over her long career as the galaxy's most dangerous bounty hunter. Now imagine these large-scale battles against bosses such as Ridley and Kraid in the signature high-speed combat of a Warriors game.

If this title were to exist, it could take full advantage of Samus' large arsenal of suits and upgrades to expand her combos. The roster wouldn't need to suffer either, as the Metroid franchise has plenty of bounty hunters introduced in past titles to fill up the playable cast with multiple options.

2 Splatoon: Fresh Fighting Warriors

Splatoon 3: Inkling And Octolings Engaging In A Turf War

On the surface, a third-person shooter like Splatoon may not seem like the best fit. However, when taking a closer look, you may begin to see the potential in a Splatoon Warriors game. From a visual standpoint, this title would look insanely appealing due to Splatoon's colorful setting, and with the introduction of the salmonids in Splatoon 2, the series has plenty of unique enemies for the Inklings to splat.

That is to say, nothing about the large variety of weapons and equipment at your fingertips to fully customize the Inkling's move set to your heart's content.

1 Super Mario: Super Star Of The Battlefield

Super Mario Odyssesy: Mario After Collecting Cappy

Nintendo's golden child has jumped between genres many times. From kart-racers to turn-based RPGs, it seems as if there is nothing Mario can't do. No surprise then that the world of Super Mario would make for one of the more unique Warriors games to be released. The extensive history of power-ups and characters has the roster and combat covered but where this universe would truly shine in a title like this is the maps.

Super Mario has several memorable locations from his over 35-year-long history, many of which could fit well. Turning Bob-omb Battlefield into a literal war ground or bashing through enemies in Super Mario Odyssey's Metro Kingdom would make for a completely new experience.
