Nioh 2 will release on PS5 and PC on February 5, 2021. The hit action RPG from developer Team Ninja will come to both platforms as Nioh 2: The Complete Edition, sporting a bunch of new graphical bells and whistles, and all of the DLC released thus far.

Regardless of whether you're playing on PS5 or PC, Nioh 2: The Complete Edition will be the definitive way to experience the game. Publisher Koei Tecmo released a short trailer of this new edition, and it already looks sharper than the PS4 release that came out earlier this year.

The PC version of Nioh 2, in particular, is getting a slew of fantastic technical upgrades, including 4K Ultra-HD support, Ultra wide-screen compatibility, HDR monitor support, 144Hz monitor support, 120 FPS on compatible systems, and full mouse and keyboard customization. It's everything you want from an excellent PC port. The PS5 version is no slouch either, though, as it will also support 120 FPS and 4k resolutions.

People that already played Nioh 2 on PS4 will be able to continue their demon-slaying adventures on PS5. If you own a digital copy of Nioh 2 on PS4, you can upgrade to Nioh: The Complete Edition on PS5 by simply navigating to the game hub on PS5 and selecting the upgrade option. However, it's a little unclear if any of this comes at an additional cost. PS5 owners can also pick up Nioh Remastered, an enhanced edition of the first game. There aren't any details about what's coming in this version, but it's safe to assume all the DLC and 4K support will be there.

Nioh 2: The Complete Edition will come with all the DLC from the base release as well. Including Tengu's Disciple, Darkness in the Capital, and the upcoming First Samurai expansions.

Pre-orders for Nioh 2: The Complete Edition will go live on Friday, November 20, 2020, on PSN. Meanwhile, it's already up for pre-purchase on Steam if you'd rather have the PC version. In either case, it's great that Nioh 2 is finally setting sail for new platforms.
