Former Team Liquid CS:GO star, Nicholas "nitr0" Cannella, has officially joined 100 Thieves' VALORANT roster. It was a long news day for the organization, as the move also coincides with the news that 100 Thieves have dropped all but Spencer "Hiko" Martin from their roster as well.

Nitr0 joins 100 Thieves after the team underwent a slew of poor performances in the recent North American VALORANT tournaments. The past month netted the organization a 5th-6th place at the T1 x Nerd Street Gamers Showdown, a 7th-8th finish at the Gamers for Equality tournament as well as two 13th-16th finishes at the PAX Arena and FaZe Clan Invitationals.

The former CS:GO star will join forces with another former Counter Strike pro in Hiko. The two were teammates back on Team Liquid from 2015-2017 and will reunite in Riot Games' tactical shooter.

The four players leaving 100 Thieves include Keane "Valliate" Alonso, Zachary "Venerated" Roach, Diondre "YaBoiDre" Bond and Alfred "Pride" Choi. The four had originally signed to the team as a unit, coming from Highground, an orgless team composed of former PUBG players.

100 Thieves now have just two players, but they don't seem to be in a rush to complete their five-man roster. On his stream, Hiko made it clear that he and nitr0 will have "a lot of say" in the what the roster will look like, and that 100 Thieves are taking their time when it comes to finding the three remaining players.

Hiko also clarified that there is "no animosity" between the former Highground players, that he "really liked them as people" and that it was unfortunate that it didn't work out.

There is no timetable for when fans will be able to see Hiko and nitr0 playing side-by-side again, but it's safe to say that with their star power, 100 Thieves will be among the fan favorites when they return take on the likes of Sentinels and Team SoloMid.
