Voice actor Nolan North isn't all that pumped over the prospect of an Uncharted movie but he says he's pretty excited about the announcement regarding the TV show based on The Last Of Us.

North has lent his voice to plenty of videogames, including the Uncharted series, a title in which he voices the main character, Nathan Drake. North was speaking on the Retro Replay YouTube channel, where he discussed the aforementioned Naughty Dog titles, having played through TLOU on the show back in November. The voice actor said he was way more excited over the planned HBO series than a movie based on Uncharted, adding he doesn't think the film will work

North discussed the upcoming TLOU series at length, highlighting the fact that it will be based on the game's main characters, Joel and Ellie, as opposed to coming in the form of a spin-off.

Meanwhile, the Uncharted project has been hit by another stroke of misfortune. After getting a new director back in February (for the seventh time), the creators had finally started filming - but they had to shut things down on the first day of shooting due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Actor Tom Holland, who will play a young Nathan Drake in the movie, revealed as much last month.

"We showed up for our first day of shooting and then they shut us down," Holland said during an Instagram Live chat with singer Justin Bieber. "I was in Berlin, so I had to come home and now I'm back in London."
