The same hacker group that infiltrated Nvidia last week and made off with a terabyte of data has apparently claimed its second victim. A new torrent has appeared online that purportedly contains 190GB of data stolen from Samsung.

Bleeding Computer (via wccftech) first reported this latest Lapsus hack via an image posted online on March 4 showing C++ code from Samsung software. Shortly thereafter, Lapsus posted a note which described the contents of the leak, which included "confidential Samsung source code" for Qualcomm devices, activation servers, and the technology Samsung uses to authorize and authenticate Samsung accounts. The torrent also included source code for Samsung's Trusted Applets, algorithms for biometric unlock operations, and Bootloader code for recent Samsung devices.

Samsung has acknowledged the hack but hasn't reported any ransom demands from Lapsus.

The same hacker group recently compromised Nvidia and stole a terabyte of data. Soon after the hack was reported, Nvidia's DLSS code was leaked online, and then information on over 71,000 current and former employees.

Lapsus is demanding that Nvidia make its graphics processing unit "completely open source." This includes not only Nvidia's drivers but also its chip architecture and "most closely guarded trade secrets for graphics and computer chipsets."

Nvidia has stated its "commercial activities continue uninterrupted” and it will not give in to Lapsus’s demands.
