Earlier this week, Star Wars told fans "don't choose to be a racist", while Obi-Wan actor Ewan McGregor recorded a video addressing the harassment being sent to Third Sister actor Ingram Moses. Following this, bigoted fans have decided to voice their outrage by review bombing the show, dragging it down to a rotten rating.McGregor said that racists have no place in the Star Wars fandom, especially because it's built on the idea of fighting back against fascism and intolerance, but this idea flew over many peoples' heads who have now brought Obi-Wan Kenobi down to 58 percent. This was highlighted by Star Wars Takes on Twitter who likened it to The Last Jedi when Rian Johnson called out toxic fans, labelling them as "manbabies". RELATED: Moses Ingram’s Performance Is Holding Obi-Wan Kenobi TogetherTen hours before Star Wars' defense of Moses, the score sat at 71 percent, but following their defence, it has dropped to the aforementioned 58. Some are denying the reason, saying that it's because Episode 3 is "lore-breaking" and doesn't fit into canon, but the timing lines up with Star Wars' defence of Moses, not Episode 3's release.

Regardless of toxic fans, bigotry, and explicit racism, Obi-Wan Kenobi is a hit, boasting the most watched Disney+ original premiere to date. Review bombing has done little to dissuade its popularity out of internet circles, and Star Wars has continued to defend Moses in a new bid to put a wall between the racist 'fans' and actors.

"I know it's gonna mean a lot to a lot of people, and I can't ignore that at all," Moses said. "I feel really blessed that I get to be the person to bring Reva to life. That's who Reva will be in the canon forever, based on my likeness. But at the same time, everything I do, I will be Black. Everything I do, I will be a woman. So I don't think about it, because it's just me moving through my life. But I do know that it means a lot to a lot of people, and I'm grateful that I get to do it."
