Also during Gamescom, Bloober announced the remaster release date is still on schedule, and added the game will be released for PC along with its console counterparts.

The original Observer, released by Bloober Team and publisher Aspyr in 2017, is no longer available on Steam, and has been effectively replaced by the new demo and remaster placeholder. The demo is free and available now to download and play. The remaster can be pre-purchased on Steam at a 10% discount ($26.99) and will launch at the same price as the original game ($29.99). If the OG Observer is in your Steam library now, the remaster is available to you for just $5.99 until September 15. Bloober Team said it’s looking at ways to make a similar offer available to Observer console players, as well.

Observer: System Redux is not only a visually-stunning upgrade, but also includes three entirely new missions (“Errant Signal”, “Her Fearful Symmetry” and “It Runs in the Family”), along with new gameplay mechanics, quality-of-life enhancements, a redesigned stealth system, added neural interrogations, and more. The Observer System Redux - Next-Gen Graphics of Retro Future video on Bloober Team’s YouTube channel details the visual upgrades, and you can investigate the free next-gen demo for a taste of the many other remaster improvements.
