Octopath Traveler 2 has no shortage of weapons to collect, but players whose goal it is to gather them all will be sorely tested in their search for the Battle-Tested Weapons. These highly-powerful pieces come in every variety, so there are six in total, and none are especially simple finds.

To ease this burden, we've scoured the realm of Solisthea to fill you in on where they lay. Prepare for a cross-seas, intercontinental quest. You'll be rewarded with some fantastic equipment, plus an achievement if you're on PlayStation or PC.

While we'll aim to remain vague, this guide must, by necessity, reference certain characters whose survival may come across as a spoiler to some readers.

Battle-Tested Blade

Crackridge Anchorage Embark Disembark Sea Octopath 2

The sword-based weapon, Battle-Tested Blade, can be found at Crackridge Anchorage. You must complete Hikari's story in order for the required NPC to spawn here. The character in question is Bandelam the Reaper - you'll recognize this sturdy fellow from Hikari's second chapter. He's making a new life for himself way out yonder, and he just so happens to be packing our prize.

Bandelam's specific location is past the docks overlooking them from above. Follow the natural path out to Crackridge's wider area, then head south slightly, and you'll find him beside a treasure chest (either opened or unopened, depending on whether you've been here in the past - there's a good chance you have).

As will be the case with many of these, you'll need to use Path Actions (like Steal) to acquire the Battle-Tested Blade. With a Physical Attack of 400, a Critical of 120, and a whopping 30 percent increase in damage dealt by skills, this is one sword to remember.

Battle-Tested Spear

Octopath Traveler 2, Castle Ku and Benkei

The Battle-Tested Spear also requires that you complete Hikari's story. This is because the NPC involved is, like Bandelam, related to his tale. It's Benkei! You'll find him at Castle Ku in Hinoeuma.

Use your preferred Path Action (for a 100 percent Steal rate, you'll need to be northward of level 80). The Battle-Tested Spear's stats are 390 Physical Attack, 120 Critical, and a chance of inflicting blindness on the target.

Battle-Tested Axe

Battle Tested Axe Wielder Octopath

The Battle-Tested Axe may require the player to complete Temenos' story. We say this because the NPC in question, Shirlutto (seen above) at Nameless Village, didn't stand on that upper portion of the zone for us until then, at which point the side quest 'Shirlutto's Next Chapter' became available (and we were able to pluck the axe from his grasp).

If you find yourself able to acquire the Battle-Tested Axe sooner, do let us know. We'll stick with the seemingly obvious likelihood for the time being. In any case, its stats are 400 Physical Attack, 250 Elemental Attack, and raised Ice- and Lightning-based attacks.

The huge uptick in Elemental Attack, combined with the boosts to elemental potency, makes the Battle-Tested Axe a perfect fit for a mage-oriented character whose secondary job happens to afford them access to axes.

Battle-Tested Dagger

Battle Tested Dagger Wielder Plukk Octopath

For the Battle-Tested Dagger, 'Melia's Next Chapter' must be tackled beforehand, since the character who owns it - Plukk - needs to show her face. This means Castti's story must be wrapped up for the Battle-Tested Dagger's acquisition. Plukk will be in the garden with her ex-partners-in-crime.

Steal, Mug, do whatever needs done, and the Dagger's as good as delivered. With 380 Physical Attack, 120 Evasion, and a chance to reduce the target's accuracy, the Battle-Tested Dagger is perfect for sneaky types.

Battle-Tested Bow

Octopath Traveler 2 - Beasting Village

You'll find the Battle-Tested Bow in Beasting Village, Ochette's home turf, and you won't be able to grab it until after her tale is fully told. You'll find Cohazeh, the human folks' elder, near a plant bed southeast from the northern way into town. She's been something of a thorn in our side for long enough, hasn't she? Milder now, to be sure, but unworthy to wield that Battle-Tested Bow. See it safely to your inventory via Path Actions.

The Battle-Tested Bow has 390 Physical Attack, 120 Critical, and may reduce the target's defense.

Battle-Tested Staff

Roque and Papp from Octopath Traveler 2

The Battle-Tested Staff belongs to Roque in Oresrush, but he'll only be here with it after Partitio's story is ended. He also won't be dressed quite so lavishly as you see above, but he will be standing beside Partitio's father in the same place, overlooking town. He'll remain there for the rest of the game.

As for its stats, let's see what we've got - 200 Physical Attack, 400 Elemental Attack, and a chance to reduce the target's speed. That 400 Elemental Attack is something special, to be sure!
