Details about the Oculus Quest 2 recently leaked online, just two days ahead of this week's Facebook Connect showcase, which is due to unveil what the company has in store for its virtual reality department.

The Facebook Connect livestream is due to air this Wednesday, September 16. While we already had reason to believe that the Oculus Quest 2 would make an appearance after the original Quest and Rift were seemingly pulled from sale, we now have official confirmation that the Oculus Quest 2 reveal is only a couple of days away.

The news comes in the form of a video, which was originally spotted by Tom Ffiske on Twitter. Check out the tweet below.

As you can see, the tweet links to a post on Facebook Blueprint, where you can tune in to the official Oculus Quest 2 reveal trailer.

As Ffiske points out in a subsequent tweet, the Oculus Quest 2 comes with 6GB RAM, 256GB storage, 4K visuals, and immersive audio. It's also worth noting that the Oculus Quest 2 allows you to ditch your controllers in order to play with your hands, which is enabled by neural-linked hand-tracking technology, and that original Quest titles will be forward-compatible with Oculus Quest 2.

"Whether you’re new to VR or already a pro, this is your introduction to Oculus’ most advanced all-in-one VR system yet: Quest 2," reads the official video description on Facebook Blueprint.

For those unacquainted with Facebook Connect, the tech giant now owns Oculus — as of next month, you'll need Facebook in order to use any Oculus device. Meanwhile, on top of Oculus Connect being renamed as Facebook Connect, Oculus VR Studio changed its official branding to Facebook Reality Labs less than a month ago.

Facebook Connect is due to air this Wednesday, September 16. As evidenced by the recent leak, it seems highly likely that the Oculus Quest 2 will officially be unveiled during the show. As it stands, however, we have yet to learn about a concrete price or release date.
