The Oculus Quest 2 is an all-in-one VR system that throws you into a game with its immersive headset. It was just released on October 13, 2020, so gamers are excited to see what games will be added for them to play on this platform. The newest titles for 2021 look promising already and take VR gaming to the next level.
There is a game for every taste, whether you like horror, RPGs, or survival. The same games are available for both the Oculus Quest and Oculus Quest 2, but they will look better on the newer system. The exact release dates aren't always known, but fans do know that they are anticipating their appearance on the Oculus Quest 2 in 2021!
10 Yupitergrad (TBD)
Your primary form of travel in this game is grappling hooks and it has a single-player campaign for you to complete. There are over 50 levels to go through, as well as a Time Attack Mode where you compete in arcade games to make your way up the leaderboards. You can sit or stand and there are a ton of puzzles for you to solve along the way as well.
9 Cosmophobia (TBD)
This is a survival horror game where you are tasked with escaping a dying spaceship. You have to gather resources while evading a growling monster, and one look at the trailer will give you goosebumps. It isn't for everyone, but if you are looking for something to keep you up at night then this is the game for you.
8 The Climb 2 (TBD)
If you have always wanted to partake in extreme climbing, without any of the risk, then this game is a match. You can free solo climbs as you explore mountains and caves with incredible graphics, and it is a great game to look forward to if you finished Half-Life: Alyx. It allows you to go on the adventure of a lifetime without ever leaving your home, and you can play it while sitting or standing.
7 Flow Weaver (TBD)
This is a puzzle and adventure game that takes about three hours to complete. The exact release date has not yet been announced, but it is definitely coming out sometime in 2021.
The overall idea is that you are trapped in a room and there are magical flows that have puzzles you must solve in order to escape. It will be full of fantasy and fun that will have you entertained from start to finish.
6 Gorn (January 28)
Gorn is coming soon as it releases on January 28, 2021, and it will cost you $19.99. It supports the room-scale player mode and is full of violence and gore. You can wield a number of weapons and the objective is to brutalize as many opponents as possible in this gladiator-esque game, and fans just hope it doesn't flop like Cyberpunk 2077.
5 Carly And The Reaperman (TBD)
This game is already a hit on PlayStation and Microsoft Windows, which is why they decided to port it over to the Oculus Quest 2. It has both single-player and co-op modes on these other platforms, so it will be interesting to see if they incorporate this into the game. The goal is to escape the underworld by maneuvering around obstacles and solving various puzzles to clear a path.
4 Green Hell (TBD)
This is a survival video game where you are dumped into the rain forest with nothing. You have to craft tools and supplies, as well as search the surrounding area to collect materials.
It is coming to PC as well and currently, it looks amazing between the graphics and trailer gameplay. There will be plenty of challenges to face and only the strongest and smartest players will survive in this land.
3 Ilysia (TBD)
The release date has not yet been determined but it will be a roomscale multiplayer online VR RPG. There is a whole world to explore as you will climb, hunt, and defeat several bosses. The developers are also planning on implementing a PVP, but even if they don't get around to adding this there are still airships to control and pets to collect that will make it interesting.
2 The Invisible Hours (TBD)
This game may be three years old, but due to this headset's popularity, unlike other budget VR headsets, they are making it for the Oculus Quest 2. It will involve a series of stories taking place at a mansion as part of a murder mystery for you to solve. You will wander the halls and listen to the conversations of interesting characters like Thomas Edison and a blind butler in order to uncover the truth.
1 Demeo (TBD)
The official release date has not yet been given, but it is one of the most highly anticipated games coming to this platform. It is a turn-based dungeon crawler and is meant to be played with friends as a virtual game night. The great thing about this game is if you don't own the Oculus Quest, it can be played on PC with just a monitor, and crossplay between the systems will be supported so all of your friends are able to play.
