Two-time International winning Dota 2 organization OG is expected to enter competitive Counter-Strike in the coming weeks. According to a report from 1pv.fr, OG will be signing a mixed European roster with a number of well-known talents. The expected lineup is bolstered by the likes of Finnish in-game leader Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen and French veteran Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt.

OG, famous for their extremely successful Dota 2 team, was founded in 2015 under the name (monkey) Business. After rebranding to OG, the Dota squad made history by winning four Valve-sponsored Majors and, eventually, two Internationals. Originally founded by Dota star Johan “n0tail” Sundstein, OG is one of the few examples of a successful player-owned esports organization.

OG now looks to be entering the professional CS:GO scene with a mixed European lineup. Former ENCE in-game leader Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen is rumored to be headlining the squad, as a recent report suggested that he wanted to sign with an organization that would allow him to remain in Europe. Joining him is ex-Vitality rifler Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt, who was released from the French lineup in September. Adding firepower to the roster is North star Valdemar “valde” Bjørn Vangså, who is widely regarded as one of the best Danish talents outside of Astralis. Ex-HellRaisers star Issa “ISSAA” Murad, who has been sitting on the bench since HellRaisers disbanded in September, is also linked to the roster.

The CS:GO lineup is also expected to pick up their own Finnish rookie, in the same vein as the Dota team’s signing of Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen prior to TI8. 18-year-old AWPer Elias “Jamppi” Olkkonen is linked with the organization. The young talent currently plays for Finnish squad SJ, and boasts a 1.22 rating.

Should the OG move go through, they will be one of many organizations entering the competitive Counter-Strike scene in recent months. Evil Geniuses returned to CS:GO just a few weeks ago with their signing of NRG's North American lineup. Other organizations like 100 Thieves and Dignitas have also made efforts to reenter the scene.

Though this move is unconfirmed, the French report suggests that the organization has already secured slots in the BLAST Premier circuit and the ESL Pro Tour. It is currently unclear when exactly the lineup plans to debut under the OG banner.
