Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos - from developer Heliocentric Studios - looks to be what happens when you mix online roguelike gameplay with The Legend of Zelda and add a dusting of Stardew Valley. If any of those buzzwords invoke a feeling of excitement in your gamer heart, you’ll probably want to keep an eye out for the game when it releases on PC and Nintendo Switch later this summer.

Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos will feature online or local co-op action for up to four players within the charmingly-styled RPG world filled with roguelike elements such as procedurally generated dungeons, along with a world full of secrets to uncover from a top-down perspective.

While only 5+ plus dungeons will be available at launch, no two runs should ever be the same, with keys, puzzles, and traps being mixed up with every new adventure. This should add to the game's replayability, which will be important in terms of the game’s progression and leveling system.

Combat will play out through sword-slashing combat along with magical spells as players make their way through the various dungeons and encountering massive bosses known as Titans.

Loot and other tools can be collected along the way as a means to open up the surrounding area by eliminating the outlying threats. Although players will be able to eventually max out their character’s level, the land of Tasos will still have plenty to offer.

It sounds like Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos will also feature an open-world sort of vibe, letting players build up their bustling village at their leisure, all while fishing, farming, and swimming around the land of Tasos.

Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos appears to have something to offer for all types of players who enjoy one or more of the genres of RPG, roguelike, or even farming sim. From the forests of Tasos to its snow-covered tundras, Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos looks to be a light-hearted romp through a land of fantasy and discovery that will be especially fun with other players.

Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos is slated for a Summer 2020 release for PC and Nintendo Switch.
