OlliOlli World is still coming to Steam, Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox this winter, but it sadly won’t be here in time for Christmas. The latest Indie World Showcase revealed OlliOlli World will release on February 8, 2022 for the Nintendo Switch. Steam hasn’t received a release date, but we assume it’ll be the same for all other platforms.

Originally revealed back in April, OlliOlli World brings an open-world experience to the OlliOlli universe. It also brings a ton of customization options as outlined in last summer's ID@Xbox presentation. The latest trailer revealed in the Indie Showcase shows even more cosmetics.

Some of those cosmetics can be obtained as a pre-order bonus. Switch pre-orders opened today, and those that put their money down now will receive the exclusive Bunny Lord head and Hero outfit which includes a t-shirt, cast, skate deck, and tattoos.

In case you were still a bit lost, OlliOlli World is a skate game where you skate your way to Gnarvana. We’re still unclear whether that’s a real place or a state of mind, but it sounds like a fun place to be either way. Online multiplayer is a big component of OlliOlli World as well as a compelling story with some interesting individuals along the way.

And it’ll also get a next-gen performance upgrade on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. We’ll be sure to provide an update when OlliOlli World gets a confirmed street date on consoles and PC, but for now, Switch owners can mark their calendar for February 8.

If you're more into old-school turn-based JRPGs, another game that got a release window at the Indie Showcase is Sea of Stars. This game brings back Chrono Trigger-style combo attacks along with the game's original composer for a modern take on a genre-defining classic. Sea of Stars comes late next year.
