The bizarro switcheroo of Nintendo and Sony's content guidelines continues, as Omega Labyrinth Life will be censored on the PlayStation 4, but not on the Nintendo Switch.

The Omega Labyrinth series consists of roguelike dungeon crawlers mixed with a heavy dose of fan service, with the latter being the main selling point of the game. Omega Labyrinth clearly walks to the beat of its own drum, such as how magical items are identified. In a game like Dungeons & Dragonsthe player needs to crush up a pearl worth one hundred gold pieces and mix it into a goblet with wine and an owl's feather in order to identify a magic item, while in Omega Labyrinth, the player has to put the item between a girl's breasts and rub them repeatedly.

Sony's stricter content guidelines for the PlayStation 4 has resulted in Omega Labyrinth Life being toned down in comparison to the Nintendo Switch version of the game. According to Kotakuthe PlayStation 4 game will be called Labyrinth Life and the logo has been altered in order to remove the girl from it.

Labyrinth Life will not feature the "armor break" illustrations or the ability to touch the characters in the game during special events. All of the artwork for the PlayStation 4 version of the game will be toned down in comparison to the Nintendo Switch version.

The higher-ups at Sony have enforced stricter content guidelines on the PlayStation 4, especially in regards to games released in Japan. The reason for this is due to the fact that they are the current market leader when it comes to video game consoles, and the popularity of streaming sites like Twitch has made it possible for perverted games that were intended for the Japanese market to be seen all over the world. Nintendo has gone the total opposite direction by allowing all kinds of perverted games on the eShop, which has led to several games being uncensored on the Nintendo Switch, while the PlayStation 4 versions are toned down.

Omega Labyrinth Life will be released for the Nintendo Switch, and Labyrinth Life will be released for the PlayStation 4 on August 1, 2019 in Japan.
