As one of the best-selling manga series of all time, One Piece has a passionate fan base that is willing to dump their money into their favorite crew of pirates. That dedication, combined with the collector mentality of trading card fans, makes the One Piece Card Game an appealing card game to invest in. From staple cards that will see high competitive play to beautiful Parallel Art cards, the One Piece Card Game is bound to include something for every fan.

Updated September 12, 2023 by Jesus Morales: The initial hype over the OP-04 has shaken up the market a bit. With Baroque Works and Animal Kingdom Pirates cards, the parallel OP1 leader cards have jumped up in price a bit. We decided that the price increase is worth updating our list and including some newer cards that will be seeing a ton of play, like Dracule Mihawk and Donquixote Doflamingo.

This list uses the market price as listed on TCGPlayer; however, numbers may fluctuate over time as supply and demand change.

13 Crocodile (Parallel) - $49.45

Crocodile wasn't very popular upon the release of the card game. It was a fun deck that played a defensive game with its ability to draw cards whenever you activate an event. This effect, paired with the Crocodile character card, helped you reduce the cost of events while drawing even more counters to protect your life total.

OP4 Kingdoms Of Intrigue focuses on cards from some of the most beloved arcs in the One Piece series, Alabasta and Dressrosa, the former being the introduction of Crocodile's organization, Baroque Works. The deck's Baroque Works package is much stronger now compared to how it looked during the OP1 release.

12 Dracule Mihawk (Parallel) - $49.48

Mihawk has always been a great card for blue decks. A steep cost at nine Don!!, but it removes a problematic character by sending it to the bottom of the opponent's deck, making sure they don't see it for the remainder of the game.

With yellow/blue Queen from OP4, Dracule Mihawk becomes a key card to tech in for this powerful deck. Queen relies on constantly having characters with big costs in play to proc his draw ability or even recover some of his lost life, making it an extremely grindy game.

11 Donquixote Doflamingo (Parallel) - $50.70

Although Seven Warlords Of The Sea decks like Doflamingo did not get much support in OP4, the deck has made waves in the competitive circuit, placing all eyes on the Warlord himself. With Whitebeard being one of the best decks in the format, players are looking for strategies that can outclass the former Yonko, and with Doflamingo's multiple blockers and bouncing effects, the red decks fold whenever against Doffy.

Not to mention that the art on this card is some of the best in the entire set. A great deck that also looks good? Sold!

10 Trafalgar Law (Parallel) - $60.34

Action shots in Parallel Art cards are always welcomed by collectors. The Parallel Art of the Trafalgar Law found in Romance Dawn is incredible. Not only is it simplistic and doesn't obstruct any of the text, but it also perfectly shows Law's cool hand tattoos.

This version of Trafalgar Law is one of the most popular cards in the game since it can be splashed into any green or red/green deck. Given that the game is quite young and there were only four colors available at release, makes this Law card viable in about half of the decks in the game at the moment.

9 Monkey.D.Luffy (Parallel) - $63.54

As the protagonist, the Monkey.D.Luffy card is one of the most valuable in the game. In the One Piece Card Game, your leader card dictates what kind of deck you will be playing, and since you can only include one of these cards in your deck, they tend to be slightly pricier than others.

Not only is Luffy already one of the most popular characters in the series, but the art featured in his Parallel Art card is the cover art for OP-01 Romance Dawn, making this card a must-have for anyone trying to complete a master set.

8 Kaido (Parallel) - $65.53

kaido alternate art leader one piece card game

One of the most powerful Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit Users, Kaido has gone significantly up in price. OP4 included a brand-new package of Animal Kingdom Pirates cards in the blue colorway, making them easily slotted into your old Kaido deck, breathing new life into it.

Meaning the blue part of the deck usually consisted of random blue staples and good counter cards. Now, the deck has a dedicated searcher card in Who's Who, making the deck even more consistent than before.

7 Boa Hancock (Parallel) - $76.01

It's a trend in anime card games that certain characters tend to be valued much higher than others, regardless of whether the card is playable or not. Boa Hancock's Parallel art fits both, being both a popular character and a big part of the game.

Boa Hancock not only is an amazing card for any blue-based deck, especially Warlord-themed decks, but in a game that doesn't have a lot of card draw, like One Piece Card Game, a card that can protect your life while drawing a card is essential to any deck.

6 Donquixote Doflamingo (Parallel) - $90.56

Probably one of the best villains in the entire series, Doflamingo's Parallel Art Leader card is just as terrifying as he is in the Dressrosa Arc. This Parallel Art card is one of the coolest in the set. Most leader cards only feature the character's face, but with Doflamingo's, you can see his iconic coat in the background, adding even more contrast to this already beautiful card.

The best part about owning this card is that you will now have control over the Seven Warlords of the Sea with Doflamingo's powerful deck.

5 Roronoa Zoro (Parallel) - $102.40

Arguably, the best card in the Romance Dawn set, Roronoa Zoro is a low-cost character that can ignore summoning sickness due to its Rush keyword. Not only is Zoro an aggressive card that can be played quite early into the game, but it is quite a nuisance once it is played since its attack is 5,000. Just like big staple cards, like Pot of Greed and Sol Ring, it seems that Zoro is here to stay for a while.

With such a versatile and simple effect, it will remain to be a staple in Red decks as long as Bandai continues to print scarlet-colored cards. Besides how powerful Zoro is, the Parallel Art version of the card is even more threatening. Playing this card will show your opponent that you're not here to mess around and that you have tons of money to blow.

4 Nami (Parallel) - $161.97

Searcher cards are usually the most important cards in any deck. Nami is no exception, serving an essential part of a Straw Hat deck and an excellent turn one opener.

Although prices have been fluctuating quite a bit with the scarcity of Romance Dawn packs in the wild, Nami's price has not dropped below $100. This card will stay at the top until better cards are printed that power creep Nami or the Romance Dawn set is reprinted altogether.

3 Trafalgar Law (Parallel) - $175.44

As cards started being announced in Japan, players in the West grew excited for the Red/Green Law deck. In a format where most decks are a bit on the slower side, the Law deck was a welcome addition. It's fast, combo-heavy, and it doesn't mind the low life that dual-colored Leaders get; rather, it encourages aggression from the opponent.

Because of this, the price of the Parallel Art version of the card has skyrocketed. This is a card whose players can use it in more creative ways than the rest of the decks in the format, making this card a good investment in the long run.

2 Roronoa Zoro (Parallel) - $177.99

Although Luffy is the protagonist and poster child for everything that is One Piece, the best aggro deck in the format revolves around the Roronoa Zoro leader card. An amazing deck that hits hard and fast, the Zoro deck includes everyone's favorite pirate crew, the Straw Hats.

Besides the manga art on the Parallel Leader cards being an incredible interpretation of Eiichiro Oda's original character design, they're the only way that you can get foil Leader cards besides the starter decks.

1 Shanks (Parallel) (Alternate Art) - $711.57

manga shanks parallel one piece card game

When the One Piece Card Game was announced, Bandai promoted the first set by mentioning that they will be including a special edition chase card in the set. Even though there are no official pull rates for the card commonly known as 'Manga Shanks,' it is estimated to be found in about one in every six cases.

Bandai is pushing the One Piece Card Game quite a bit, so there is sure to be quite a lot of product circulating retailers, but it doesn't take away from the fact that pulling this card will make you the talk of the whole card store.
