Earlier this week, Blizzard finally lifted the lid on one of its two upcoming support heroes for Overwatch 2, giving us a brief look at the fabulously flamboyant Lifeweaver. The developer has now followed up with a fairly extensive gameplay trailer, showcasing some of Lifeweaver's abilities that you'll be able to try out for yourself when he drops in Season 4.First shared via the official Overwatch Twitter account, the trailer begins with Lifeweaver using his Petal Blossom weapon which he can charge and release to heal targeted allies. When not healing, Lifeweaver has a Thorn Volley which launches a nice spread of projectiles to deal damage to oncoming enemies.Related: The Problem With Live Service SequelsWe then move onto Lifeweaver's abilities, and he's definitely one of the game's more unique characters. For starters, Lifeweaver has an ability called Life Grip which can pull allies to his location to potentially save them from fatal blows or falls. The ally being pulled will also be protected, so it's a neat little trick to get an ally out of immediate danger. The same can be said for Lifeweaver's Petal Platform ability, which throws out a big platform that rises into the air when its stepped be by either friend or foe.

Finally, we catch a glimpse of Lifeweaver's Ultimate, which is just as dramatic and flamboyant as the man himself. Lifeweaver's Ultimate is called the Tree of Life which can be placed and will instantly heal all allies within its vicinity, continously healing as long as it remains active. It's unclear whether this tree can be destroyed by the opposing team, but it's definitely a great tool that could easily turn the tide of a match if used properly.

If you can't wait to try out Lifeweaver for yourself, you'll be pleased to know that the character drops alongside the start of Season 4 on April 11.
