I'm so sorry Doom mains, he's bad again. For some reason, the latest Overwatch 2 patch has targetted Doomfist, undoing the buffs he only received about a week ago.

This comes from yesterday's mid-season patch, making various changes to heroes of all classes. Doomfist is the only character to be hit with so many nerfs, however, with Ramattra, Orisa, Ana, and more all getting buffs.

Right off the bat, we can see that Doom's rocket punch is back to where it was last season, with the cool down going back up to four seconds. It's more or less the same with his The Best Defense… passive ability, with Doom now gaining 35 temporarily health points per hit, rather than 40.

However, for some ungodly reason, Doom's power block is now going to be even worse than it was last season. You know, the season where it was considering throwing just to select him? Now, you'll have to mitigate 100 damage to empower rocket punch, so get ready to really throw yourself into the thick of it.

There are some other minor nerfs introduced in yesterday's patch, but none as drastic as what we see with Doomfist. Kiriko's suzo will now only keep teammates invulnerable for 0.85 seconds. Sojourn is also facing a fairly major change, with her distruptor no longer slowing enemies down. To make up for it, her firing speed has been increased by 28 percent.

It's incredibly good news for those of you enjoying Ramattra, with his nemesis form speed increased by 20 percent, and his armour bonus going from 150 to 225. The void barrier's cooldown has also gone down by two seconds, making it slightly easier to keep your team safe.

In any case, it looks like Blizzard wasn't happy with how everyone was playing Doomfist after his recent buff. In truth, it very much felt like he was being played as a DPS again, perhaps undermining the changes the devs made to make him a tank.
