Overwatch 2 has been a fairly successful launch for Blizzard although there have been teething problems with issues from bugs and glitches as well as balancing, but that aside the tactical shooter has plenty of players logging onto its servers in search of games. But one part of the PvP shooter is missing and that is PvE and Overwatch 2's executive producer Jared Neuss responded to a fan's query regarding the mode. On Twitter, one fan asked about when players can expect updates regarding PvE. Neuss answered with the following: "We're going to be super focused on Season 2 in what I would consider the "soon" timeframe. We'll be talking about PvE and other highly anticipated features in the future but you may have to wait a bit. I know that's not a super satisfying answer, but I honestly can't say more." As for Season 2 players can expect a new tank in Ramattra, a new map, a new battle pass, a mythic skin, and a bunch of balance changes that includes nerfs as well as buffs. The likes of Sojourn will be tweaked to be slightly less OP while tanks Doomfist and Junker will be made more effective since they've been less than optimal thus far.

As for PvE, it's clear that it is not the focus for Season 2 and is therefore something being worked on more in the background. Perhaps it could be included after Season 2 starts, or maybe a part of Season 3 (or even further down the line). But as Neuss said, you may have to wait a bit.
