We've been given yet another reason why one should never underestimate the creativity of video game fans: Reddit user Devygone has created some great Overwatch concept skins based on The Avengers. The concepts, which all work really well, creatively defy gender expectations, and are all designed well enough to where it's easy to believe that they would fit perfectly into the game of Overwatch.

It's clear that Devygone put a lot of thought and hard work into these concepts, and the execution shows that it paid off. In this concept art, they've perfectly depicted various Overwatch characters with their Marvel counterparts. These include Mercy as Wasp, Soldier 76 as Ant-Man, Hammond as Rocket Raccoon, Torbjörn as Thor, Pharah as Iron Man, Brigitte as Captain America, McCree as The Winter Soldier, Moira as Scarlet Witch, Widowmaker as Black Widow, Symmetra as Shuri, and what appears to be Reinhardt as Falcon.

Overall, the concepts are really well made. There really aren't too many obvious changes to be made, aside from maybe the addition of Winston as the Hulk, but overall the finished product is more than impressive. Unfortunately, Blizzard isn't known well for collaborating with other properties, so the chances of see Marvel-themed skins within Overwatch are pretty slim. Coming off of the coattails of Avengers: Endgame, a collaboration like this would be great to see, but it remains to be pretty unlikely. Still, it's fun to see creative concepts like this when fans take the time to come up with them.

Overwatch was recently released on the Nintendo Switch, breathing a sort of new life into the game which has been out for well over three years now. For the very first time, you can play as your favorite heroes on a handheld platform, adding yet another bullet point to the list of reasons why Overwatch is able to separate itself from online multiplayer competitors so well.

Although we'll probably never see it happen, Devygone's Avengers Overwatch skins serve for a great concept, as well as another reason why the gaming community can occasionally be just as entertaining as the games themselves. Despite Blizzard's resistance towards collaborations, we love seeing these concepts, so please keep them coming!
