Although Overwatch 2 is but a whisper in the air and Blizzard hasn't said a word about immerse VR that could put is into the boots of McCree or in the cyborg ninja armor of Genji, we can still dream by appreciating the amazing work creators continue doing every day. Today, we've gathered the ten most impressive cosplays of our favorite audio medic, Lucio, so let's speed right into it.
10 Give Yourself To The Rhythm
Have you ever seen a cosplay that just has that characters feel everywhere on the photo? It's not just the outfit itself, but the pose and the background and the general vibe that this cosplay gives off.
Lucio being Brazilian, it's important to not just capture the character's essence but also express that in every part of the photo. Excellent job and execution from Saeris and Skyler Dahan on this interpretation of Lucio.
9 Can't Stop, Won't Stop!
One great thing about cosplay is that the art sets zero boundaries. Anyone can become anything, and it doesn't matter who you are in real life. This genderbent version of Lucio from talented and beautiful Alanna Mode is just full of great details.
In particular, you have to appreciate the frog tattoo on her arm that looks like it was created with painstaking precision, true to the original design. The vibrant blue and green armor, all down to the Sonic Amplifier are true to the original design and colors.
8 I'm On Top Of The World!
While most cosplay lovers might go for Lucio's default skin for which he's easily recognized, others choose a more challenging road. Neverending Dreamz created this fabulous Jazz Lucio Anniversary skin and not a detail was missed.
From the gilded plates on the legs to the Sonic Amplifier, everything is just as it should be. Now, the question begs to be asked: does this cosplay also have tiny speakers embedded playing the two jazz tunes of the skin?
7 Speed Boost
Some people in this world were simply born as clones of fictional characters, and if there's anyone who embodies that the most, then it's Game2Hype who has cosplayed Lucio multiple times.
In this purple version of his default skin, all the details down to the hair are absolutely spot on. What's even better is this incredible trick of the eye pose that puts him on the wall, just as Lucio would be wall riding on his skates.
6 Time To Accelerate!
What we love about cosplay is how there's always people striving to bring it one step further and immerse us further into the fantasy of being part of Overwatch's universe. M42SC's version of Lucio's default skin is groundbreaking because of her own roller skating skills and the LED light details that really drive the whole feel of the skin home.
A great testament to her athleticism and creativity. Plus, once again, who doesn't love a genderbent Lucio? She looks fabulous in this costume and carries it so naturally.
5 Oh Let's Break It Down!
A huge part of cosplay is also bringing the character alive through photography. This can be hard for Lucio since movement isn't easy to record into a picture, but this edited photo from cosplayer TazzStrife does it perfectly.
The green and yellow effects are a cool addition to an otherwise immobile picture. Not to mention, we have to applaud him for one of the best executions for Lucio's hair, very true to the original model.
4 I'm Not Hearing That Noise
We need to give this one a special mention because it's unfortunately a Lucio skin that doesn't get nearly as much love as the others. Cosplayer Unrooolie took a unique route by recreating Slapshot, one of the athletic skins from our favorite audio medic.
That's not all, however. We also love this photo because of a genderbent, simplified version of Lucio he's posing with, which looks super cute and fashionable. All in all, a great meeting among Lucios was captured that day.
3 Have Some Lucio-Ohs!
Yes, we may have already mentioned this cosplayer further above, but we really mean it when we say that Game2Hype has to be the real life incarnation of Lucio. This photo just screams Lucio to us, and he's rocking once more a purple version of the default skin, which fits him like he was born to wear it.
The best thing about this photo has to be the box of Lucio-Ohs that he's eagerly trying to sell, not to mention those fancy glasses. Another great one from Game2Hype!
2 That's How You Get Tinnitus
A costume doesn't have the be an exact copy of the original model to be convincing, as proven by Captain Incoming Cosplay in his version of Lucio's Equalizer skin. The skin is similar to his Capoeira skin, which allows for creators to take inspiration from both. The amazing thing is, all of Lucio's essence and playfulness is captured here, and every part of his costume makes perfect skin.
Pose and energy are important when representing a character, and Captain Incoming knows here how to capture Lucio's personality. A great, creative and outside-the-box execution of the costume!

His work is everything you could wish for in a Lucio costume, true to the original with some creative freedom to bring it truly alive before our eyes. The Sonic Amplifier is beautifully detailed, just as his headphones and glasses.
