Ramattra's gameplay trailer dropped yesterday, revealing that the new tank will be an absolute beast, and probably a nightmare to take down. However, it also seems that the short video gave us a peek at a new, unannounced map, perhaps one that will be added in season 2.

As spotted by Overwatch fans just after the trailer was shared, the map Ramattra is in as he demonstrates his ultimate ability isn't currently in the game. It bears a striking resemblance to the Nepal maps, but the area that's shown off can't be found in any of the existing stages in the region. This has led many to believe that we're about to get a new Nepal area, adding some variety to the Control maps.

As it stands, we already have three Nepal maps: Village, Shrine, and Sanctum. This is the same as all of the Control maps, so this would make Nepal the one area to get four if the fanbase's theory is correct.

Of course, there's also the possibility that this is a new map altogether, and just bears some resemblance to Nepal due to Ramattra and Zenyatta's shared lore. Some in the comments believe it could actually be a payload map, given that the area at the end of the trailer looks like a delivery point.

It's also worth noting that this is very likely a map that was shown off in a prelaunch trailer for Overwatch 2. This gave us an overhead shot of the entire map, and it definitely aligns with what we see in the Rammatra trailer. With these angles in mind, it definitely seems that this is a payload map, as there's a clear space for a vehicle outside of spawn, and a place to deliver it on the other side. The map also doesn't seem to be symmetrical, meaning it's not likely to be a Control area.

In any case, we should find out for sure sometime during season 2. This will start December 6, the same day Ramattra joins the game as the first hero completely locked behind a battle pass, to much frustration.
