Another piece of potential evidence could be pointing to Overwatch on the Nintendo Switch. TheGamer already covered an Amazon listing for an Overwatch-themed Nintendo Switch case. The listing itself is gone now, but were around long enough for Twitter users to get screenshots. The spreading of these images ignited old discussions of whether Blizzard's hero shooter could, and should, release on Nintendo's portable wonder console. Now, an allegedly leaked retail store listing gives us an exact date for this launch.

A Reddit user shared a list of what they claim is the internal release schedule for a video game store. The list goes from September to November, including release dates for all of the games. The post was since deleted by the Nintendo Switch subreddit moderators, with a comment asking for proof. Usually Reddit moderators require a private message verifying that such leakers really do work in the industry. As of now, the poster had not given this proof. However, a Twitter user re-posted the list.

It's hard to make out, but right in the middle, in bold, is "Overwatch FR NSW." Based on the "Platform" section on the left, it's safe to assume that NSW means Nintendo Switch. What's key in this list is that it lists an exact date for this Overwatch Switch port: October 18th.

All "leaks" must be taken with a grain of salt. In keeping with that caution, we have to point out a few issues with this list. For one, the lack of any kind of official branding. The leaker might say it's to protect themselves and their store from Nintendo/Blizzard backlash. However, the missing identifiers also have the side effect of making this look like a piece of paper anyone could print. The fact that the Reddit mods seem to still be awaiting proof doesn't help.

On the other hand, the Amazon leak already set a precedent for Overwatch on Switch. Why would a case exist if the game isn't on the system? And with PAX West this weekend, it seems like the perfect time for an announcement. Be sure to keep an eye on TheGamer this weekend as we bring you the latest from PAX West and beyond.
