Overwatch announced the yearly Winter Wonderland skins, which will include seven new skins added to the game. This is the fourth year for the event and will include skins, game modes, sprays, and more. The event always provides a great holiday feeling by covering different celebrations across the world.

For the event, all of the previous year's skins will be available, as well as some old game modes making a return. Along with previous events, Mei's Snowball Offensive is coming back. The Yeti Hunter mode is coming back as well.

From the Overwatch website, the event will be taking place from December 10th through January 2nd, so you'll have plenty of time to reach all of the new weekly goals! From December 10-17, by winning matches in Quick Play, Competitive Play, or the Arcade, players can earn a new Soldier: 76 icon, spray, and skin. These rewards come after three, six, and nine wins, respectively. The second week from December 17-24 will earn you a new icon, a Moira spray, and the new Holly Moira skin. Lastly, the third week, from December 24-January 2, will earn you a new Mercy icon, spray, and finally the new Snow Angel Mercy skin.

There is a new Snowball Deathmatch game mode entering the fray for this event. It pits eight players against each other, with most of the same mechanics of the Snowball Offensive. The only new mechanic is that you can store up to three shots, as opposed to the singular in Snowball Offensive.

Lastly, there are six new skins that will be hitting with the event. Three can be earned through playing the weekly rewards: Ugly Sweater: 76, Holly Moira, and Snow Angel Mercy. The other three skins are Jötunn Doomfist, Mountain man McCree, Rat King Reapered, and Rime Sigma.

Another event, another excellent round of skins. For the most part, the Winter Wonderland event has some of the best cosmetics out of any of the in-game events. There is so much mythology to pull from across the world that it never feels old when similar themes are used across multiple heroes. The new game mode seems like a blast, and it also seems like Overwatch is trying to jump in on the eight-person free-for-alls with Snowball Deathmatch.
