Cyberpunk 2077 features several potential romantic interests for players of all tastes. However, it looks like Panam is officially the most popular flame for the fans, ahead of others by a large margin.
CDPR has revealed some interesting Cyberpunk 2077 statistics on Twitter, highlighting the players’ preferences for a life partner in the world of a dark future. According to the new data, Panam Palmer is undeniably the most desirable in-game NPC, as more than 67 percent of players choose her to match their mercenary V.
For the record, Panam is available only for the male version of the game’s protagonist, as another fan-favorite character — Judy Alvarez — prefers the ladies. However, the developers did not reveal the exact percentage for Alvarez’s romances in the game, but clearly it’s more than half of Panam’s.
While Cyberpunk 2077 has more than one option available for each gender, like River Ward, Kerry Eurodyne, or Meredith Stout, it’s hard to believe more than a total of 10 percent of players choose them. These secondary stories are unequally represented in the game and fall short in front of The Witcher 3’s Triss Merigold and Yennefer of Vengerberg dilemma.
And with Mass Effect fresh on our minds again, some may argue that Cyberpunk 2077 did not achieve the versatility of iconic BioWare’s RPGs, famous for their romantic options. Games like Dragon Age and Mass Effect are still considered as the genre’s benchmark for other developers to strive for. It is possible BioWare will set another bar soon enough with its upcoming titles Dragon Age 4 and Mass Effect Next.
Earlier CDPR has shared additional interesting statistics for Cyberpunk 2077, including Victor’s impressive wealth of 147,000,000,000 eurodollars thanks to all players' efforts to pay back their owed money.
For the studio itself, Cyberpunk 2077 ends up being profitable, but presumably below expectations. Polish analysts cut long-term sales projections by nearly 15 million copies, as the title still hasn’t made its way back to the PlayStation Store five months after being pulled from it. CDPR devs recently admitted they remain in the dark as solving the case "is an exclusive decision of Sony."
