Revealed as a surprise during Nintendo's E3 2019 direct stream, Panzer Dragoon: Remake was set to revive a classic Sega franchise for a new age. A modernization of the 1996 Sega Saturn original, it looked to be an incredibly faithful recreation of the early days of on-rail shooters...maybe too faithful. That was reflected in many reviews, but the title is still solid enough for a lazy afternoon play.

Until now, the only way to experience Panzer Dragoon: Remake was on Switch or through Stadia. Pretty soon, those won't be your only options. Publisher Forever Entertainment has announced that a PC and PS4 port of Remake will be coming "soon." That's vague as all hell, but at least the release is right around the corner.

If you're worried about PC platforms, you can put those fears to rest. Panzer Dragoon: Remake will find a home on both Steam and GOG. There's no word on a physical edition for PS4, but that is likely to still be on the cards for the future. Limited Run Games created a version for Switch, so it stands to reason that something similar will come to Sony's console.

If you're an Xbox One user and are feeling left out, fret not. Forever Entertainment has confirmed that a port to Microsoft's platform is still in the works. It will just arrive "a little bit later." I wouldn't hold out hope for an Xbox Series X enhanced edition, but Microsoft's console features full backward compatibility. You won't have to miss out on Panzer Dragoon just because you've upgraded.
