Path of Exile's newest expansion is coming in just over two weeks. Here's what you can expect in Harvest.

It's been a few months, so that means it's time for another Path of Exile expansion! In Harvest, you'll turn your swords into plowshares and then back into swords again when you plant some seeds that grow into magical beasties. You then have to kill those beasties in order to steal their life force and use it to craft powerful items.

The big deal here is that different life forces can do different things. One crafting option is to "reforge a rare item with all new random modifiers, including a Caster modifier." Another "augments a rare item with a new Physical modifier." The list goes on, but this allows you to customize your gear to a level unseen in PoE.

Seeds can come in several qualities, with rarer and more powerful seeds spawning rarer and more powerful enemies. Watch out for the three primordial beasts: Ersi, Janaar, and Namharim. They give the best life force, but they're also the most dangerous monsters you'll encounter.

On top of this new farming simulator and crafting options, there's been a big revamp to Two-handed Weapons, Warcries, Brands, Slams, and the Passive Skill Tree. Two-handed weapons have been improved with more damage, better visual effects, and improved functionality (Grinding Gears doesn't quite say what, but we'll take them at their word), while Warcries "now scale based on the power of nearby enemies."

The Passive Skill Tree has received numerical buffs, new passive skills, and a brand new keystone passive. There are also 12 new unique items and 50 old ones have been completely rebalanced.

Also of note, Path of Exile will get a brand new renderer that will greatly improve performance. That stuttering issue that some players experience will be eliminated and it'll pave the way for other graphical improvements later on.

Path of Exile: Harvest arrives June 19 on PC and June 24 on Xbox One and PS4. As usual, there’s a pair of Supporter Packs to pick up that’ll come with some unique weapons and armor, depending on the pack you choose.
