Pathfinder: Kingmaker Enhanced Edition promises to fix the issues with the game. An announcement was made on the game's Steam page that outlined the new additions that are coming to the game. Pathfinder: Kingmaker Enhanced Edition will include numerous balance and bug fixes, as well as quality of life improvements to the kingdom building system. The game will also include new abilities and a new character class in the form of the Slayer.

A new expansion for Pathfinder: Kingmaker will also be released on the same day as the Enhanced Edition, which will be called Beneath the Stolen Lands. The new expansion turns the game into a Roguelike, in which you build a new party and explore endless randomly generated dungeons. If the player's party perishes in battle, then they will earn benefits that they can use in later playthroughs and will be able to use new items that are unlocked the further into the dungeon the player makes it.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker had the potential to live up to games like Baldur's Gate, but it was held back by technical problems. Pathfinder: Kingmaker Enhanced Edition promises to fix the issues with the game, which may give the players who were turned off by the mention of bugs a chance for a second look.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker Enhanced Edition will be available for PC on June 6, 2019 and will be free to those who own the original version of the game.
