Armor and weapons are shiny and all, but some of the most underrated tools in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous are the small trinkets and bobbles. These rings, pendants, and amulets all add up to create some truly beneficial and sometimes overpowered effects. In fact, some of them are downright more incredible than some unique weapons or armor.
As such, it's best not to sleep on Wrath of the Righteous' accessories. The best ones just might help you in achieving that godhood ascension much easier or might even outright turn you into a godly character without much need for progression. Best keep your eye out and channel your inner magpie instincts for these accessories.
10 Clockwork Pendant
- Type: Amulet
- Utility: Movement speed bonus and buff to Haste and Slow spells
Want to toy with time and your enemies? Then don't go breaking the rules of physics without the Clockwork Pendant. It gives the wearer a +10 movement speed increase which is always welcome especially for melee characters.
Apart from that, the Clockwork Pendant also boosts the longevity of the Haste and Slow spell by around half as if they were under the effect of the Extend Spell feat. It just so happens that Haste is one of the most crucial spells in the game for overpowered combos or gaining a general advantage.
9 Gyronna's Amulet
- Type: Amulet
- Utility: Increased armor and evasion
If you find your characters dying too often which is difficult to avoid in a game like Wrath of the Righteous, then Gyronna's Amulet should help immensely. It gives a chunky insight bonus of +5 to AC (armor class), making its wearer more difficult to hit.
Now, if that's not safe enough for you, then the wearer is also given the benefits and effects of the Mirror Image spell. That's only one of the most reliable evasion or tank spells in the game. The spell conjures up four illusions of the caster around them and the enemies usually will have to go through all four illusions to finally land a hit on the original.
8 The Heart Of Ira
- Type: Amulet
- Utility: Immunity to fatigue and exhaustion and an offensive aura
The Heart of Ira is quite the package for any melee character. It makes the wearer immune to fatigue or exhaustion— two of the most debilitating status effects in the game and both of which will be automatically applied to any character in prolonged periods of exploration.
Making it more attractive is also the Aura of Nothingness included. This aura makes any creature adjacent to the wearer take 2d6 damage and they must also pass a Reflex saving throw to avoid becoming fatigued. Do keep in mind that it will also affect party members so it's best to keep them at a distance.
7 Deathly Arousal
- Type: Amulet
- Utility: Crowd control and keeping the wearer alive
Backup plans are always great or sometimes even mandatory in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous since lots of encounters depend on luck. Something like Deathly Arousal provides some wearer insurance for a small package.
If its wearer is dealt a killing blow, they will automatically be healed by 50 HP. Afterward, their attacker will be knocked down prone for two rounds or two turns. That easily sets them up for some brutal reprisals where they likely won't stay alive for two more rounds while prone. Sadly, you can't abuse this amulet perk with the Last Stand feat since you can only trigger it once per day.
6 Angel's Heart
- Type: Amulet
- Utility: Armor increase aura and demon enemy debuff
Demons are the most common enemy-type in Wrath of the Righteous. Dealing with them is also a pain since they have numerous and stacking damage reductions. The Angel's Heart is the perfect countermeasure for that and it's also suitable for Paladins or Clerics.
The amulet gives off a 30-foot aura that gives every party member a +1 AC bonus. Its main attraction, however, is that the aura also makes the affected party members ignore a demon target's damage reductions. All in all, it's a powerful tool for the main quest.
5 Ancestral Retribution
- Type: Ring
- Utility: Crowd control
On to rings, Ancestral Retribution is a fairly straightforward one. A character that wears it will knock back its target 10 feet away after striking them for the first time in an encounter or combat. That is assuming that the wearer is fighting defensively, so no clicking targets.
On top of getting knocked back, the poor target will also be forced prone for one round. Despite the rather picky condition, the ring is still great for tank characters as the rest of the party can easily pick off any prone attacker.
4 Conthyr's Wisdom
- Type: Ring
- Utility: Debuffing en masse
Conthyr's Wisdom is a ring that appears to have been tailor-made for Rogues or Slayers since it rewards sneak attacks. If worn, the wearer will inflict a status called paranoia against its target the very first time they're dealt a sneak attack.
The target and its adjacent allies will then suffer a -1 penalty on saving throws and a -2 penalty on damage rolls. It doesn't sound much but it's a good way to keep your Rogue, Slayer, or even party tank alive. The debuff can also stay on for multiple rounds depending on the 1d4 roll.
3 Zaoris's Beauty
- Type: Ring
- Utility: Buffing up allies' offense
Zaoris' Beauty truly lives up to its name. It's more than a beautiful ring; it's also a buff device that turns all melee characters in the party into deadly swashbucklers. That's because any ally who also attacks the chosen target of this ring's wearer will gain some significant offensive bonuses provided they keep attacking the same target.
These bonuses include: additional 1d6 points of precision damage for every hit and +2 circumstance bonus on their attack rolls. With those, they're almost guaranteed to hit the target. Since a common strategy in encounters is to focus fire or concentrate attacks on a single threat, this ring makes that tactic more effective.
2 Greater Ring Of Balance
- Type: Ring
- Utility: Defense and status immunities
Want to become a god even before maxing out your chosen Mythic Path? Then make sure to grab one of these babies. The Greater Ring of Balance is one of the most impressive defensive tools in the game. It adds a +5 deflection bonus to AC or armor.
That's not all, it also makes its wearer immune to:
- Emotion effects
- Fear
- Confusion
Last but not least, the ring gives the wearer permanent Freedom of Movement spell, making them always mobile despite the terrain and the forced obstacles. It's like a mini-Mythic Path. All that tankiness comes at a cost though as you can only wear this ring if your character is a True Neutral in the alignment graph.
1 Hasting Expanse
- Type: Ring
- Utility: Additional attack
Hasting Expanse's benefit doesn't sound much but many players underestimate the power of additional attacks. Put it on a Barbarian, Bloodrager, or Slayer and it quickly becomes a clutch tactic. That's easily achievable with Hasting Expanse.
Its wearer gets one additional attack of the highest attack bonus if they make a full attack action. Oh, it also stacks with Haste and similar spells, meaning you can double the number of attacks while the target just stares in awe at how many pieces they've been cut into after the round.
