A new site has been launched by the developers of the Persona series in celebration of its 25th anniversary, and there's a lot for its fans to get excited about.

So many series are celebrating major milestones this year that it would be easy for one or two to get lost in the shuffle. Donkey Kong's 40th birthday came and went last week with barely a mention from Nintendo. Atlus appears to be dead set on making sure the same thing doesn't happen to Persona which will celebrate its 25th anniversary later this year.

The studio has launched a new site to mark the occasion, kicking things off by reminding everyone the ongoing success of Persona 5 resulted in the series as a whole surpassing 15 million copies sold this year. As if that alone wasn't enough to celebrate turning 25, it has also been announced via the site that Atlus has seven new Persona projects in the works to mark the occasion.

“We will announce various Anniversaries such as 25th commemorative goods, various events, collaborations, and of course game information,” the site reads. Listed below that are seven blank slates that will be filled in over the course of the next year to 18 months. The first project will be announced or released in September, and the last one will be here in Autumn 2022.

The site gives nothing away as to what the unnamed projects will be. It doesn't even confirm whether or not they will be games, another Persona TV show, or something else. A mix of all the above seems likely, with at least a couple of games thrown in there. Mobile game Code Name: X, which is based on Persona and accidentally leaked ahead of time, will likely be one of the seven projects announced.

For those of you who can't wait until September, a number of commemorative items can be ordered via the anniversary site right now. Posters featuring the cover art from almost every game in the series, school emblem pins, and acrylic stands of your favorite characters. Lots to be excited about, unless you're the person who was holding the “Persona 5 Sucks” sign at AEW Dynamite last week.
