Persona 4 Golden might just be coming to Switch. This beloved entry in the Persona franchise will be ported to the console at some point in 2022 according to reports. Persona 4 Golden was ported to PC in 2020.

Releasing the game this year would bring the launch into line with all of the other planned celebrations for the twenty fifth anniversary of the Persona franchise. These include a remaster of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax in addition to a variety of different animated shows, live concerts, and collectable merchandise.

The news comes from NateDrake who made a series of other predictions about the Persona franchise. NateDrake is known for having correctly predicted that Nintendo 64 games would be added to the Nintendo Switch Online subscription service at a slightly higher price point.

"I think there is a reasonable chance that Persona 4 Golden does find its way to Switch in 2022,” NateDrake said. “I think there's a good chance of that. As we know for the first half of this year, we're going to have the Persona 4 fighting game. I think before the anniversary year concludes, Persona 4 Golden is announced for the Switch. I think Persona 4 finally arrives on Switch in 2022."

This comes in the wake of another leaker, Zippo, making the same claim concerning Persona 4 Golden. Zippo correctly predicted in 2021 that a remaster of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax was being developed for various consoles including Switch. Atlus proved this to be true a couple of months later. Zippo recently predicted that a remaster of Persona 3 Portable might also be in the works.

There have been rumors going around about the Persona franchise for months. Persona for example is planned to become a “global brand” over the course of the coming years according to spokesmen at Sega which is the parent company of Atlus. Persona 4 Golden coming to Switch might just be part of the same strategy.
