Some of the core members of Persona 5’s Phantom Thieves are crossing over to Alchemy Stars for a limited-time event between July 14 and August 3, 2022.

Free-to-play mobile RPG Alchemy Stars is teaming up with Atlus’ Persona series to bring some of the most recent entry’s main characters to the roster for a limited-time event that also includes a special crossover story between Luke and the Phantom Thieves.

The story scenario sees the Phantom Thieves finding themselves in Umbraton, where they’ll run into Luke and the Aurorians. The Phantom Thieves aren’t the only ones to find themselves in the world of Alchemy Stars, however, Persona’s main enemies, Shadows, have also made the jump, leading to Luke and the Aurorians teaming up with Joker and Queen to find out what’s going on and banish the shadows.

Although Joker and Queen are the main Persona characters featured during the special story scenario, they aren’t the only Phantom Thieves being featured during the event. Players will be able to recruit Joker, Fox, Queen, and Violet to their team, while Mona will be awarded to the player as a free event gift, making sure that at least one of the Phantom Thieves will be joining the battle. The special scenario is now live between July 14 and August 3, 2022.

Alchemy Stars takes place in the world of Astra, where light and darkness have collided following hundreds of years of peace between the Aurorians and Caelestites. The two sides must work together to face a new threat known as Eclipsites that have been sent to exterminate the Caelestites.

Players will explore the world of Astra from a 2D viewpoint and discover six distinct factions across the game. Some of the locations that players will be able to visit include a bustling metropolis hidden underneath the world’s surface, a city atop Astra’s mountains, and more.

Much like the blend of magic and technology in Astra, gameplay in Alchemy Stars is a mix between RPG, Gacha, and strategy elements. Players will be able to roll for and collect different unique characters to create their own party and then use them to fight in tile-connecting gameplay.

You can download Alchemy Stars for free from both the iOS store and the Android store.
