Welcome to TheGamer’s Persona 5 Royal walkthrough. Here, we’re gonna be guiding you through all ten playable months of the game, making sure you’ll make it to the true ending with all confidant ranks and social stats maxed out— not to mention popping that shiny platinum on your first run of the game.

Updated June 7, 2021 by Meg Pelliccio: This guide has been updated with more accurate information and more in-depth instructions as to what to do each day. Now included are the recommended conversational options to choose from during confidant and job events to ensure you reach maximum stats by the end of your playthrough.

A few things to note going into this walkthrough:

This walkthrough is a modified version of this guide, optimized for further efficiency and combat effectiveness.
All confidant rank-ups are dependent on you bringing a persona of a matching arcana when spending time with them. With the exception of Rank 1 and Rank 10, if you forget to do this even once it’ll set your schedule back — sometimes catastrophically, depending on the confidant. We will note which personas you should have equipped — this means just having them in Joker's stock of on-hand personas, rather than actually currently equipped as the active persona. (However, the Sun and Moon confidants do not require matching personas.)
This walkthrough is based on normal difficulty — you might find yourself having a hard time keeping up on higher difficulty modes.
As it’s not possible to 100% the Thieves Den achievements on your first run, we’ll be guiding you through popping as many of them as possible, but it will not be a main focus like the PS4 trophies.
This guide will be running on the assumption that you’re choosing a platonic route with all the romanceable characters to accommodate everyone — if you find yourself progressing faster with your romanced confidant than the guide plans for, use the extra day as a free slot. (However, we recommend romancing at least one teammate to acquire the PS4 trophy, even if you decide to reload and proceed with the platonic route.)
The number of music notes that appear for social stat increases is not the number of points earned. For example, one music note means you have earned two points, two music notes mean you have earned three or four points, and three music notes mean you have earned between five and ten points.

Persona 5 Royal June Walkthrough

For those of you who’ve already played P5, this is where you’ll be dipping your toes in most of the exciting new mechanics from Royal, as you’ll be unlocking Kichijoji this month. This allows for much greater flexibility in terms of playstyle and combat loadouts, as well as giving you the ability to sell dirty equipment for some hefty cash.

Again, a reminder — it is absolutely essential to stay on schedule for the Temperance and Chariot confidants.

Note: This guide works on the assumption that you have followed our previous walkthroughs, otherwise, you may find that you do not have the required ranks to do certain events when told to in this guide. Additionally, if you have not been following our guide, the crossword puzzle answers may differ depending on how many you have completed.

6/1 Wednesday

You'll need Councillor, Temperance, Faith, and Justice Arcana Personas for this month. If you haven't obtained these already, you can easily get some by visiting the Velvet Room on Central Steet and fusing some common personas. There are multiple fusion recipes you can use, but we recommend the following:

Councillor: Fuse Hua Po and Pixie to get Kushi Mitama. (You need to be level 12.)
Temperance: Fuse Mandrake and Pixie to get Genbu. (You need to be level 7.)
Faith: Fuse Kodama and Pixie to get Phoenix. (You need to be level 21.)
Justice: Fuse Succubus and Arsene to get Angel. (You need to be level 9.)

At this point you should have the following Arcana on hand at all times:

Hang out with Ryuji with a Chariot arcana Persona equipped (he can be found just outside of your classroom).

"Museum of Vanity: Repossessed" trophy unlocked.

Daytime:

Agree to hang out with Ryuji. (This unlocks Kichijoji.)
Talk to the info clerk on the left about every topic. (Knowledge +2)
Sit on the Fancy Couch outside of the Furniture Store and choose "Just a little bit longer..." twice in a row when Morgana speaks to you. (Guts +2)
(Optional): Buy gifts for confidants from the stationery store.
"Trash into Treasure" trophy can be unlocked by selling at least one piece of Sooty Armor at the Secondhand Clothes Shop.

6/6 Monday

Chalk will be thrown at you and you have a 66% chance of successfully dodging it. If you do not dodge it — then reload your save file. You need to dodge it for the stat increase: (Charm +3)

Buy Bio Nutrients (¥1,200) from the Underground Mall at Shibuya if you don't have any.

Head to the Velvet Room and if you don't already have an Ame-no-Uzume, then fuse one. There are a few different ways to fuse this Persona, the easiest way we can recommend is Jack Frost and Bicorn.
Use the Frei card that the twins gave you on Ame-no-Uzume to teach it Frei and to fulfill the twin's request.
Strength Confidant: Rank 2
Their next request is a Flauros with Tarukaja. You should be able to do this now as well by fusing Eligor (who already knows Tarukaja) with a Berith and Orobas and choosing Tarukaja as one of the skills it will inherit.
"Efficient Executioner" will be unlocked upon performing the group execution if you haven't unlocked it already.
Back out of the menu in the Velvet Dungeon and then speak to the twins again for them to register that you have the Flauros they wanted.
Strength Confidant: Rank 3 (Unlocks Lockdown)
Their next request is a Phoenix with Counter.
WARNING: Be sure to re-summon Berith/Eligor after fusing them if these are the Personas you currently use for the Hierophant and plan to use for the Emperor confidants. Make sure you stock up on an Emperor Persona now for later in the month. (If you don't have Eligor, you should have Regent in your list of summonable Personas.)
You might as well pop a Persona (we recommend your new Flauros) into Lockdown and you'll be given incense to use as a freebie for your first time and burn some incense to unlock the "Intensive Training" trophy.
Travel to Kichijoji and speak to the Man with Sunglasses in the western alley (Trader Sakai) to trade the Foreign Protein for a Decorative Whip for Ann (make sure you equip it).

"A Hustler's Journey" trophy unlocked by playing billiards in Darts & Billiards. (Random Stat +3) (For the sake of this guide, we will not be counting this increase in our totals, so just bear in mind you might hit a rank up sooner than the guide states as a result.)

(Note: Playing billiards will open up the small questline that unlocks Technical ranks, while playing darts will upgrade the Baton Pass rank of whoever you play with. We recommend playing darts, but choosing either has no great effect on the schedule. If you’re planning on playing darts, save your game beforehand so you can reload until you’re rank 3 with both of the teammates you play with.)

Go to the Velvet Room and pick up your Persona from Lockdown if you haven't already.
Now is a good time to complete your next twin's request. To get a Phoenix with Counter you can fuse Yaksini with Genbu and choose Counter as one of the traits to carry over.
Back out of the menu in the Velvet Dungeon and then speak to the twins again for them to register that you have the Phoenix they wanted.
Strength Confidant: Rank 4
Their next request is a Setanta With Rakukaja, but we'll get to that later.
WARNING: Make sure you register your Personas before you delete/itemize any to make room for fusions and be sure to summon any that you need back afterward for your Confidant rank ups.

(Optional) Interact with the TV in Leblanc for the Home Shopping Channel — Dark Power Set (¥1,980) is our recommended purchase.

Daytime:

Purchase Nasty Aojiru (¥5,000) from the drink stand in the Underground Walkway in Shibuya. (Guts +2).
(Optional) Buy SP recovery items from the vending machines near the Bathhouse, medicine, or equipment.
(Recommended) Buy SP Adhesive 3 (¥50,000) accessory from Takemi.
Travel to Kichijoji and speak to Trader Sakai in the western alley to trade the Yakisoba Pan for a Black Robe.
Secure infiltration route in Kaneshiro’s Palace.
You'll unlock Showtime Attacks in this Palace. You can unlock the "It's Showtime!" trophy by using this for the first time. (When you can use Showtime as part of the tutorial it doesn't count for the trophy.)
IMPORTANT: You must leave the palace with at least ¥100,000. We recommend aiming for ¥150,000 as you will need ¥100,000 for the Fortune confidant, then a little extra to cover other daily expenses as well.
Once you have secured the route to the treasure you will unlock Fusion Alarms: you can read more about that here. We recommend using this point to fuse during an alarm to unlock the "Accident-Prone" trophy. If you don't want to keep the results, simply save before fusing, get the trophy, then reload your save.

Note: In this palace, there will be some gold-plated doors that you can open by paying large sums— do not open them. They are simply shortcuts and the other side can be accessed by proceeding through the normal route, so don't waste your money.
