Persona 5 Royal is a massive JRPG with tons of systems and mechanics that are introduced in a steady and consistent stream, providing you with endless options and things to discover. While many of these things are gameplay focused, some aspects of the game are passive, making the world feel lived-in and organic.

One of these passive systems in the game is the Weather, which directly impacts the world and can dictate what you do or don't do that day. There are many types of Weather in the game that can happen during specific Seasons and times of day, and understanding what each one does and how you can take advantage of them will help you tremendously.

Weather Overview

Raining during the Summer Festival in Persona 5 Royal

As brought up in the above section, Weather has a direct impact on the game and affects the overworld, as well as Momentos. Some Weather Conditions will make specific NPCs unavailable, while others will have a slight chance of inflicting Shadows with Status Effects during the start of an encounter.

Furthermore, there will be some instances where Weather Conditions won't happen during the day, but will come during the night instead, which can impact what you do on that specific night. There are many days in Persona 5 Royal, and you will encounter lots of different Weather Conditions during your time in Tokyo. To get the most out of your time there, use the section below to figure out what each Weather Condition brings to the table!
