Though you’ve most likely worked other part-time jobs in Persona 5 Royal before arriving at this one, there’s something to be said about Joker pulling shifts at the Crossroads Bar. As a high schooler, Joker cannot have a cocktail himself. But this doesn’t stop the owner, Lala Escargot, from hiring him on as a barback.

And while it’s definitely not the easiest job to land, with so many prerequisites to fulfill before you can step behind the counter, it’s inarguably one of the best in terms of how it pays you. We’ve got your back on info for getting the most out of your shifts at Crossroads.

How To Work At Crossroads

Before you can begin working at Crossroads, you’ll need to be offered the job. There are several steps before this happens, so let us break them down for you.

Getting Hired

Unlike the three other part-time jobs in Persona 5 Royal, you don’t get hired at Crossroads through the magazine rack. Instead, your employment at Crossroads is contingent upon one of your Confidants.

The first requirement is starting Ichiko Ohya’s Confidant. She’s the sketchy journalist who approaches the Thieves during the setup for infiltrating Madarame’s Museum palace. She also helps you identify Junya Kaneshiro so you can get through his palace. You can unlock Ohya’s Confidant by visiting her at Crossroads beginning on 6/23. You must also be of Rank 3 Kindness and Rank 3 Proficiency before Lala hires you. Once you’ve checked all three boxes, speak to Lala Escargot behind the bar to be given the job.

Going To Work

Crossroads is different from the other jobs in that you have to visit it before you can work there, so finding it shouldn’t be too tough. It’s located in the Red-Light District of Shinjuku.

As with most bars in Japan, you can only work at Crossroads at nighttime. You can take a shift any day, but remember that you’ll be paid more for working on Sunday nights.

Mementos

Like with the other jobs, Crossroads is tied to a request in Mementos. This one is called We Aren’t Just Your Slaves and can be started as early as 8/2.

You’ll need to have worked two shifts at Crossroads to unlock the request. Once you have your target located in Mementos, you can go in and kick his ass in exchange for the book titled Theme Park Escort. Finishing it will unlock the Maihama district and allow you to access Destinyland before the story takes you there automatically on 10/11.

The Rewards: Yen And Skills

The payment scale at Crossroads is different than the rest of the jobs. It’s the most profitable part-time job in Persona 5 Royal. In addition to the biggest yen reward, your chances to boost your skills are also extended.

In Royal, Joker will earn ¥7200 for a standard shift, but this compensation is increased to ¥12,000 if he works on a Sunday. There are no busier days to contend with like at your other jobs, so Crossroads will typically be the most straightforward of the options, too.

Boosting Stats With Patrons

Each shift gives Joker +2 Kindness per shift, which doesn’t change even on Sundays. However, on Sundays, you can start conversations with the patrons sitting at the bar while you work, and each one gives you the option to earn an additional +1 for one stat (covering everything except Knowledge).
