Consisting of a whole lot of skulls and dead things, the Death Arcana is represented by our favorite goth doctor, Tae Takemi. Her confidant is all about saving a terminally ill patient, symbolizing the meaning of death itself. This group of Personas loves to curse their foes with status ailments and finish them off with dark magic.

A staple in the Shin Megami Tensei and Persona series, you'll see these ghoulish creatures play a major role in most titles. These tricky, scheming Personas show up at most points throughout your thieving journey, mostly obtained through fusion. If you loved to crush your enemies with Arsene's razor-sharp claws and deathly magic skills, the Personas from this Arcana will be right up your alley.

10 Mokoi

A fan-favorite design among many, and ally to Mr. Cool himself, Raidou Kuzunoha from the Devil Summoner series, Mokoi is a charming, boomerang-loving little demon. As an agile Persona, Mokoi's main role will be a supportive unit with skills like Tarukaja and Dekunda, the latter of which is unique to Mokoi, as he is the first usable Persona in the game to learn it. It's obtained fairly early on and will pull you through tough situations and pass on essential skills to your future comrades.

9 Pisaca

One book that would be hysterical to read would be, "Reactions of Players First Encountering Pisaca", with chapter names like "Why?" "What am I looking at?" and "Again, why?" While certainly not an aesthetically pleasing Persona by any means, Pisaca is a classic demon that uses a multitude of status-inflicting skills and insta-kills to take out foes. While not the most useful Persona against bosses, since most are immune to status ailments and one hit KO's, Pisaca can dominate enemies within Mementos or while exploring Palaces with skills like Abysmal Surge and Mamudo.

8 Matador

Another speedy Persona comes in the form of Matador, who never fails to cut through opponents before they have a chance to raise their guard. Looking back at the infamous boss fight from Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, Matador isn't quite as frustratingly lethal in Persona 5, but it still acts as a great addition to your team.

As one of the earlier users of Psi skills and a great user of Sukukaja and Wind skills, this stylish skeleton has the versatility and speed to slice through the competition.

7 Hell Biker

One copyright strike away from infringing on Marvel's Ghost Rider, Hell Biker is a Persona exclusive to fusion, and he continues the strange trend of Death Arcana Personas' Need For Speed. This is further exemplified by Hell Biker's blazingly fast Agility stat, and the ability "Speed Master". This Persona will be attacking first in most scenarios, and its decent attacking stats are great for dishing out Fire or physical attacks. It also has acceptable elemental defenses, only being weak to Bless and resisting Wind and reflecting Fire.

6 Pale Rider

Hell Biker's older brother prefers to ride the ole' fashioned way, on a floating horse with way too many eyes. While not as rad as a flaming hot rod, Pale Rider is one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, and it lives up to its name.

With a strong affinity for Curse skills and a plethora of physical ones, Pale Rider takes advantage of its high stats to put down any opponent unable to keep up. While it does carry a Bless weakness, it quickly learns Evade Bless to stand tall on the battlefield.

5 Chernobog

Probably a demon reincarnation of the poison mushrooms from Super Mario Bros. 2, Chernobog brings powerful physical prowess and brings back the affinity for status ailments. Although, unlike Pisaca, this Persona can hold its own without them, with skills such as Deadly Fury and Myriad Slashes to tear through enemies. It comes with two weaknesses, but balances them out with four resistances, making it a great option against certain enemies with predictable elemental attacks.

4 Thanatos

The ultimate Persona of Persona 3's protagonist is available as DLC within Persona 5, and Thanatos certainly lives up to its glory. Almighty and Curse skills flourish under Thanatos' control, with its high stats also complementing skills like One-Shot Kill. As the personification of death in Greek mythology, you can expect Thanatos to bring forth death every time it's summoned, and certainly doesn't become a waste of money. So, don your Persona 3 outfit, raise your evoker to the skies, and Burn Your Dread.

3 Thanatos Picaro

This picaresque version of Thanatos is similar to other DLC Personas like Izanagi Picaro, where the original Persona in question gains a unique redesign and a few slight gameplay changes. In the case of Thanatos Picaro, its stats are raised slightly, and it gains Mudo Boost and Adverse Resolve.

While the two Personas can be perfectly interchangeable without much difference, Thanatos Picaro has a slight edge over its less stylish counterpart.

2 Mot

Here we have another case of Shin Megami Tensei PTSD, where Mot was a boss in Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne. Like Matador, it was infamous for its difficulty, but Mot is a special case with just how unfair and grueling it felt, getting pelted by Megidolaon after Megidolaon. It still retains the skill in Persona 5, as it primarily focuses on Almighty attacks. These devastating attacks are boosted even further by Mot learning Concentrate, turning it into a coffin full of atomic bombs.

1 Alice

Looking similar enough to the Velvet Room twins, Alice seems like an odd choice for the ultimate Persona of the Death Arcana. This harbinger of death has a unique skill called "Die for Me!" When used, demonic teddy bears will suicide bomb enemies, and has a horrifyingly high Magic stat with some of the most powerful magical attacks in the game. Concentrate will create an even scarier monster, and Dekunda will ensure that Alice is in tip-top shape at all times. Looks can be deceiving and in this case, mistaking Alice for an innocent little girl will be the last thing you ever do.
