Ranger Class Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis

The Ranger in Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is a versatile class that can effectively use a variety of weapons. Ranger has access to two distinct powerful weapons, Assault Rifles and Launchers.

Assault Rifles

The first and most obvious choice is the Assault Rifle, which offers great long-range capabilities and versatility in combat. With the ability to deal consistent damage and provide support with its various bullet types, the Assault Rifle is a popular choice among Rangers. Also, Rifles allow Rangers to decimate their targets from mid-range with increased mobility, good damage, and the ability to create weak points with light rounds.

The best Rifles Photons Arts are follows:

Name

Description

Notes

Razing Shot

Send out shells that detonate when they come into contact with an opponent. The shells twist and charge at their targets.

The penetrating shot causes enemies it hits to immediately explode, dealing additional damage.

Homing Darts

Charge up and shoot unique bullets that follow numerous foes in your area of view.

Shoots a number of homing shots that follow numerous nearby targets. enables horizontal movement as well.

Blaze Shot

After a dodge, fire a rapid volley of shots. The PA button must be pressed and held down in order for it to keep firing until all the PP has been used.

Enables you to glide while firing quickly. As long as the button is pressed, PP is drained.

Launcher

Another popular choice is the Launcher, which provides excellent area-of-effect damage and is perfect for taking down groups of enemies. Its high damage output and crowd control make it a great choice for solo play or group content.

Also, Launchers allow the Ranger to eradicate all life from a distance with high damage and strong attacks.

The best Launcher Photon Arts are follows:

Name

Description

Notes

Fallen Impact

Fire an explosive shell in front of you.

This PA is similar to PSO2's Assault Rifle PA Satellite Cannon. However, it has a considerably lower radius and fires several missiles instead of a single light beam.

Fear Eraser

Launch a strong photon laser. You can keep firing by holding down the PA button until all of the PP has been used up. When employed consistently for a predetermined period of time, a follow-up attack will be added.

The first half of this PA is comparable to the Photonic Laser PA, while the second component comes when you hold the PA button for a longer period of time.

This second part is a wider beam that deals more damage. After you run out of PP or release the PA button, the third component performs a final, greater blast.

Multi Launch

Fires a steady barrage of explosive shells that ends in a cataclysmic explosion. Can be fired either while moving or while still.

Contains two parts: the first fires a barrage of missiles towards the adversary; the second follows with a larger explosion that has a modest AoE. It can hit the enemy's targeted areas even if they are out of your line of sight. Can be stopped by hitting the dodge button twice — however, there is a wait before it stops, so trying to stop it while being attacked is still dangerous.

When playing as a Ranger in Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis, you should focus on positioning yourself in the right spot to hit enemies with ranged attacks. The Ranger's main strength lies in its ability to deal consistent damage from a distance, so it's important to keep moving and avoid getting surrounded by enemies.

In combat, Rangers can use their Photon Arts and Techniques to deal additional damage and control the battlefield. They can also set traps to immobilize enemies and deal damage over time.
