Take a pika this! This new Pokemon-themed Joy-Con grip by PowerA features an adorable Pikachu Thundershocking your controllers, and it's up for preorder now on Amazon. It's available for $14.99 and will be releasing on August 15th.

This grip is lightweight and has double-injected rubber grips for those long play sessions of Pokemon Sword & Shield or whatever game of your choosing. It is also officially licensed, so don't worry about this being a cheap knock-off; this is the real deal.

PowerA Pikachu Joy Con Grip without Joycons

Nintendo Life seems to have found the listing on Amazon and shared the news today. Keep in mind, however, that the typical grey Joy-Con grip from PowerA is currently $9.88 on Amazon, so the Pikachu print is a $5 premium for the dedicated Pokemon fans out there.

PowerA is a games accessory company that has made other Pokemon products in the past. For the Pikachu mains in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, there's a GameCube controller for you. There are over a dozen designs based on this pocket monster series for Switch Pro controllers and GameCube controllers. There are even Pro controllers with the Pokeball and Great Ball prints on them.

This isn't sponsored, but it's great to see some choice in the market for controllers to fit your style and budget. Back in the day, it was always your younger brother or sister, who had the bad third-party controller from a company like MadCatz, but now, the quality of these alternative controllers is far better than they used to be. Sometimes, they even make better versions of the original make, like the SCUF Vantage 2

Pokemon, meanwhile, is still trucking along with the recent release of the Sword & Shield expansion, Isle of Armor, and the announcement of both New Pokemon Snap and a MOBA take on the franchise, Pokemon Unite. Perhaps, we'll see a new controller from PowerA to give you an edge in Unite?

The Pokemon Company's licensing division might be taking things a step too far though as it recently announced that there are engagement and wedding rings available for diehard fans out there. The engagement ring sets also feature our favorite electric mouse, Pikachu. Are they taking it too far or will you be shouting at the wedding ceremony, "Who's That Bride!?" It'sssss Sandy!
