Pine, the open-world adventure game from Twirlbound and Kongregate, is now available on PS4. The title was originally released for PC and Nintendo Switch back in 2019, but is just now finding itself a home on Sony's last-gen console.

Pine sees you step into the shoes of Hue, a "clever young adult" who is exploring the island of Albamare as he helps a small human tribe find a new home. The island is bursting with unique flora and fauna, many of which are competing for food and space to call home. It's up to you to determine which ones you should befriend, giving them gifts, taking on quests, and fighting off their enemies.

The island of Albamare is full of "secrets, puzzles, and collectibles," and features a seamless open world for you to explore.

Twirlbound is a small indie dev composed of just seven developers. Pine is its one-and-only creation, although it's pulled in solid reviews over the years. Kongregate, meanwhile, is a much larger operation, although it typically focuses on free-to-play casual games – categories in stark contrast to this recent project.

Pine is now available on PS4 for $24.99. You can also find it on Nintendo Switch, Steam, and GOG. To learn more about the adventure game, check out the official Pine website.
