Warzone players have discovered a new exploit that allows them to pose as a dead body, and the community seems to be split over whether it's okay or not.

Call of Duty: Warzone players are no strangers to glitches and elements giving others what appear to be an unfair advantage. Look no further than the infinite stim glitch and the Roze skin for evidence of that. However, the latest glitch might not be a glitch at all. It allows you to play dead and some think it's a clever tactic while others believe it's a new example of playing dirty.

The exploit can be seen in action below. Reddit user Dutton90 is walking up a staircase when they happen upon a fallen enemy, or at least that's how it seems. The downed player is actually still alive, and waits until Dutton90's guard is down to let that be known. They then spring up and kill their unassuming enemy, leaving Dutton90 with almost no time to react.

The person playing dead appears to be planking and has simply found an area of the map where they can be prone while looking like they have been killed. A lively debate over whether their actions are dirty or not continues to rage on in the thread attached to the clip.

Some have deemed the action a glitch that should be brought to Activision's attention, while others are questioning what the problem is. One person even describes it as tactical planking. This isn't the first time something like this has sparked a Warzone debate. Earlier this year someone won a match by lying down in plain sight, appearing dead while their final rivals eliminated each other around them.

Odds are as news of this exploit begins to spread, others will try to use it. The key thing you will need to be on the lookout for to avoid falling victim to someone playing dead is how the body looks. Downed players in Warzone lose control of their limbs, making them react like rag dolls when touched. If the body you find is rigid or planking, it's probably best to bury a few bullets in them just to be safe.
