The PlayStation 5 leaks continue unabated, as there are now new images online showing what appears to be the next generation of DualShock controllers.

Sony announced the PlayStation 5 last October, but there were numerous rumors and leaks leading up to the official reveal. There have been lots of images floating around of a v-shaped console that has been confirmed as an early prototype model for the PlayStation 5, though it's unclear if it will resemble the final version of the system.

We may have finally been given our first glimpse at the DualShock 5 controllers, as a Reddit user Browning9778 has uploaded an image from another person's social media account, which shows one of the prototype development units of the PlayStation 5 being cleaned. There is also an image showing the new controller, which has a thicker design than the DualShock 4.

The controller in the images matches a patent that was filed by Sony. The controller seems almost identical to the DualShock 4, but it's tricky to match the exact proportions based on the available images. It seems as if the new controller is slightly thicker below the joysticks than the DualShock 4, but it's hard to say by how much.

Sony has revealed details regarding the upcoming PlayStation 5 controller, which will possess new features that aren't present in the DualShock 4. The new controllers will have adaptive triggers, which offer greater resistance to being pulled depending on the situation, such as when pulling a bowstring. The controllers also possess haptic feedback, which can imitate the sensation of different textures on the player's hands.

The PlayStation 5 is due to be released during the 2020 holiday season, but we still don't know a great deal about it. The controllers are actually the aspect of the console that we know the most about, as there are still a lot of unanswered questions about the hardware specifications and the appearance of the system. It won't be long until the PlayStation 5 is officially revealed, especially with CES 2020 happening shortly, so we should soon be given our first official glimpse of the PlayStation 5 controller.
