The weird PlayStation Showcase chess advert is actually home to a ton of easter eggs, including Sly Cooper, Final Fantasy, Fortnite, and Fall Guys, to name a few.

Although it was initially pretty hard to spot easter eggs thanks to the event being streamed, gamers have been trawling back through the chess-obsessed advert and have managed to find references and easter eggs for a ton of games. Do they hint at anything? Probably not, but they're fun inclusions nonetheless.

One of the most interesting easter eggs (at least to Sly fans) is the appearance of Sly's emblem printed on a random bit of construction during a motorbike chase scene. Sly is so rarely referenced that this instantly had fans hoping for something new, even if it's likely just a cheeky nod. Some fans have pointed out that Crash Bandicoot's return started in a similar way, however.

FallGuyBeans

For something more concrete, we have to go closer to the start. During a foot chase, a poster can be seen in the left corner of a Fall Guy dressed up as Aloy, hinting at an impending crossover. We've seen Ratchet & Clank in Fall Guys, so it would make sense.

Valisthea

Just before that chase scene is a train station that is home to several easter eggs. On the tannoy is the word "Valisthea", which is the setting of Final Fantasy 16. You can also see several Pac-Man ghosts as the character walks down the stairs, which doesn't seem to mean anything beyond being a cute little nod.

GodOfWarChess

An easter egg that is hidden in plain view is God of War Ragnarok's key art, which can be seen in several scenes as a painting hung in an office. This makes the chess advert our first official look at Ragnarok, which is pretty surreal.

Foundation

Finally, one really strange easter egg is the appearance of The Rock's presumed character in Fortnite, The Foundation, who can randomly be seen on a bit of wall graffiti. All of the Fortnite fans theorising when we'd next see the character probably didn't think this, but it does imply he's fairly meaningful.
