However, with so many games to enjoy and experience, searching through this amount of different titles can be a real challenge and slightly overwhelming. Luckily, within the plethora of games, there are a few that stand out as being an experience you should never ignore. Although it never hurt to play a few more that catch your eye.

10 Death Stranding: Director's Cut

Protagonist holding the baby

Although perhaps not the most recent game released on PlayStation, Death Stranding is one that gripped fans from the very beginning. That may have been for three reasons, the A-list casting brought by Norman Reedus, the adorable but slightly offputting tiny baby, or the undeniably stunning graphics.

Either way, this game brings a new take to action and exploration, bringing small elements of horror, heartbreak, and hope to every mission and the general story. The Director's Cut has never before seen elements that make installing this again a smart move.

9 Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales

After the success of the first Spider-Man game, which is also available on PlayStation Plus Premium, and the achievement of the Miles Morales film, it would only make sense to launch Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales. This one brought fans in by the thousands and many are still enjoying swinging through the city and defeating bad guys.

Essentially, at its core, this is a relatively open-world action-adventure experience where you play as the legendary Miles Morales. Sometimes it feels like you are watching and playing elements of the beloved animated film and other times it feels like you are making your own story. Either way, this is a game you will never forget.

8 Aragami

If swinging around or marching along with a baby in tow is not your kind of game, then why don't try Aragami. It's a stealthy adventure experience in which the player explores Aragami the assassin. However, this isn't just your typical assassin game because Aragami has a supernatural twist that makes it a thrilling experience throughout.

It combines magic with stealth and a stunning Japanese twist that often feels like a match made in heaven. It's not a particularly fast-paced game but this one is perfect for those who prefer a bit of stealth and magic when destroying an enemy.

7 Batman: Arkham Knight

Batman Arkham Knight

Batman: Arkham Knight is the final installment of the Batman: Arkham series and is arguably one of the best. You may want to explore the first three titles but if not, you can look up what happened before jumping into this gripping action game.

This isn't only an action game, which is one thing that makes this title so enjoyable to play. Some detailed, beautiful, and lengthy cutscenes will pull you right into the story and get you ready for some Batman-style action. Speaking of which, the action itself is as greatly crafted and enjoyable as the cutscenes, so you never need to worry about getting bored.

6 BioShock Remastered

Shooting an enemy in BioShock

Launched originally in 2007, BioShock is hardly a new series that fans have never heard about or played by now. However, for those who have never experienced this shooter, this should be one of the first games you download. Even if you have played it back in the time, this might bring back the perfect amount of nostalgia.

Essentially, BioShock is the first of its series and tells the tale of a genetically modified protagonist who pretty much goes around and shoots everything they see while being in a mysterious city underwater. It's a great first-person shooter for anyone who just wants to run and gun while still having a relatively engaging story.

5 Borderlands: The Handsome Collection

Borderlands The Handsome Collection

Although it might not include the recent Borderlands 3 game, PlayStation Plus Premium has given you the best it can do, The Handsome Collection. This is ideal if you liked Borderlands 3 or if you've never played the series before — this is a great place to start.

Borderlands is a first-person shooter with a twist. It takes nothing seriously and allows you to feel powerful, hilarious, and gets you to make friends with some rather interesting characters. Drive around in this open-world game while shooting Bandits and blowing up Skags. The world is your chaotic and destructive oyster.

4 Brothers: A Tale Of Two Sons

PlayStation Plus Premium is not all about shooters or action adventures. Some of the additions to this subscription include more heartfelt and slower-paced experiences that are guaranteed to leave an everlasting mark on you as you go through their stories.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is one of those heartwrenching experiences. It's not a long game and it's recommended you play through the whole thing in one go to get the full emotion behind it. Either way, this title is a must for a bit of puzzle-solving, fantastic storytelling, and characters you'll fall in love with.

3 Fallout 4

Fallout 4

Fallout 4 is a classic. It's a favorite among many fans and the suspected introduction of a London-style mod to the game has brought fans of new and old back into its post-apocalyptic landscape. Such a landscape is one of the main reasons when looking into its success and is one of the aspects that you may just fall in love with.

This is very much a love or hate game that more people seem to favor than ignore. If you've never played a Fallout before, this one or New Vegas is the one to try — both are on PlayStation Plus Premium.

2 Ghost Of Tsushima: Director's Cut

Ghost Of Tsushima Directors Cut

There's one thing the PS4 and PS5 pride themselves on and that's the technical aspect of their games. Some of the recently released titles that can be played on the latter are stunning. Every blade of grass glistens in the sun, and every ray hits the water perfectly, making it look like a dream of reality. Ghost of Tsushima is perhaps one of the best representations of what modern graphics and game designers can do.

It's a dream to play and still has that technical fighting many know and love, only this time you get to play a Samurai. The whole game is beautiful and it often feels like a turning point in what video games could be.

1 God Of War

God Of War

When God of War came out, it took the gaming world by storm. Fans adored it, players made many memes out of the poor boy, and critics worshipped it. This is understandable when you get to play as a God who slays titans and other unreasonably large beings.

It's a thrilling hack and slash that requires tactics, patience, and good hand-eye coordination. On top of that, there is also the fantastic bond between the two characters, which makes the game entertaining, gripping, and a little emotional at times. Either way, this game is well worth installing.
